Excellent service all-around. English menu is available. Reception and waiters all spoke English. This was quite useful as we had to revise our reservation several times and there was no issue whatsoever - very kind and professional. The food was really nice, some things were better than others. For example, the wienerschnitzel and potato salad were absolutely delicious, honestly the portion was big enough for two people! The grilled farm chicken was OK: the chicken could have been juicer and the sweet potato side had an added sweetness that was too much for the dish. Regardless, we would happily return to order the things we loved and try other menu items as well.

Hableány is not in an easy position, as she is staying in a socialist house built in the 1960s-1970s in the worst architectural tradition, and it's not looking good. However, as soon as you enter, you are approached by a girl, the Lady of the House, who, unusually for Hungary, kindly sits you down and sends you a waiter. The waiter is quite highly qualified, knows everything there is to know about food and wine, and recommends and discusses with the guest in great style what would be the optimum course.
The food is excellent, one better than the other, and I have no complaints about the wine. This restaurant is much better than the great average of restaurants in Hungary. It is unfortunate to operate in this ugly building.

The food experience was nothing special compared to what our expectations were.
Maybe too high?
With 2 vegetarian friends their chosen dish was disappointing (grilled veggies and pasta). I ordered the Angus beef, nothing special. Good meat (if truly Angus) and prepared in an average way, got too dry by the time I got it. My fiancé's choise, the pumpkin soup was the only nice surprise.
All these and the high prises made me give only average rating.

We were a little bit disappointed upon arrival because there was nothing special regarding the surrounding of the restaurant. There wasn’t any panoramic view etc. We did not like the inside at the first look. We started feeling good when our conversation started with our waiter. He was a really nice guy who could really help us with choosing the right dishes with a nice pairing wine.
I did not want to believe that a sparkling wine could be a great match with the raspberry cream soup but it was just fabulous! The cod fish with cauliflower cream was also an excellent choice with a nice Olaszrizling. And our desert was really a gorgeous closing of our launch. I am confident we will go back soon.

Even after trying many restaurants, we can only speak of Hableány in superlatives. Such polite, knowledgeable service is very rare. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also attractive, not to mention the food. Everything from the soup to the dessert was divine, plus the gold dumplings:) The prosecco and wines tasted were also of high quality, and the time spent there was worth every penny and minute. The dog-friendliness is another plus point, along with the juti snack, which our two dachshunds happily ate.

The Place is just awesome. Here you can enjoy the perfect combination of food, service and ambiente. Food is always prepared on a fantastic modern way. All the dishes are just awesome. My wife as a vegan and I as a meat lover also can find the perfect match. The wine is also one of our favourite in hungary.

We took part a wine tasting containing 3 different wine with different features. A wine expert presented the products and told many details about these. The service included a factory tour that was amasing and gripped.

We came here after not being able to eat at our hotel. It turned out to be a great decision. We were greeted by a friendly server. He was knowledgeable and helpful with our choices and great wine by the glass to go with our choices. We had two pizzas, both delicious along with a salad. We had a great dessert and a wonderful evening. A great place that I would definitely go back to.

Only one out of 4 wines was drinkable.
No food whatsoever for the wines.
Pizza oven in the room overrules everything, so no chances for you to smell the wines.
Any price would be to high for this quality.

The staff is friendly, helpful and well trained. Food is based on Hungarian tradition, but if you are not familiar with it, you will not feel it. But the best part is the wine, you should try BalatonBor.

the place looks almost the opposite from anything you'd expect to get seriously good food in. Surprise! Food was absolutely great -- seriously good at that, not just plain pretentious -- service was super lovely, helpful, amicable, wine lovely and light. All in all, was one of our best food experiences in Hungary. Not worth a special trip of course -- but if you're in the area, highly recommended.
