It’s one of the best restaurant in the Badacsony with high quality food poems and view to the lake Balaton. We’ll be back!

In our case the service was very kind and helpful and the food was very good and the price was reasonable. They offered wine in a glass from two wineries, the restaurant belongs to, which were also very good. They had a late harvest Zeusz 2003, which was obviously a special one. The view to the Balaton was also amazing.

It was difficult for us to reach the place as we visited from Badacsonytomaj, however the stuff was very helpful and arranged a ride there and back. In general they were very kind and welcoming. The view from the terrace is stunning over the lake. Don't expect a huge selection from the wines but what they have is really good. It looked they spent the effort to please also with the food, the presentation was very nice and it felt on the taste it has a soul and a home made touch. We enjoyed everything we ordered! The only thing they could improve is the payment with credit card. If you visit with a company and like to order a lot it is not necessary you have so much cash with you. Probably they had already few cases because they told us already on the phone when we made the reservation that we can pay only with cash. Overall we would recommend this place to try if you want to spend good time with good wines and food!

The only thing going for this place is the view. It is the epitome of pretentious. All show and no substance.
The food is below average, the service is poor and the food expensive.
It is a very poor imitation of Hungarian food. No stars for this “restaurant”.

The wines are superb: the food at the restaurant is distinctly average and the service so poor that it was almost like a bad spoof of how a restaurant ought to operate. Worth a visit for the wine and the view - but have something to eat somewhere else before you go.....

Great location with good food. Views are amazing. There's a lovely atmosphere too - when we were there, there were some local musicians playing music :-) We felt very relaxed.

This is a great place to taste the best local wines. Daniel, the manager made sure that we enjoy our stay at the restaurant. We will definitely return next time in Badacsony!

We visited the place this week and wanted to check out the view and have a light dinner. The location is lucky so the view is very nice. The tables enjoy the shade due to the grapes that are growing all over the terrace.
The food was good, we both had the tĂşrĂłs csusza, attached a picture of the meal, too.
The service was rather interesting, we felt that our waiter was hurt and kind of in war with life if you know what I mean. The owner (or the son of the owner) greeted us and told us we could take any seat on the terrace. So as the tables closest to the view were all taken we picked one (closest to the upper deck) from the lower section. The waiter came and flat out told us that we could not sit there and if the guy with the beard let us do that - "he can do whatever he wants as he is the owner". So this was an interesting start out.
I can't really mention any other particular issue with the service but overall our take was that we may not be returning.

We stopped here on a hot afternoon in need of a coffee, and were delighted to find cottage cheese dumplings on the snack menu (spelled „Snecks“ :). It turns out this restaurant serves traditional Hungarian cuisine with a modern twist, specializing in pork dishes from pigs they raise themsleves.
There is a large carpark and the lovely terrace is shaded by a covering of grape vines – what a pleasant place to beat the summer heat. The friendly waitstaff understand German and/or English. The prices are a bit higher than nearby places but reflect the upscale dishes served.
Our coffees were served with a refreshingly large glass of cold carbonated water. The homemade dumplings (rolled in browned breadcrumbs and sprinkled with powdered sugar) were not too sweet and perfect, served with a side of (we are guessing) nut yogurt. A delicious alternative to the usual ice cream. If you’ve never had this type of dumplings, do give them a try!

We had to wait 1,5 hours for our meal, the tablecloth was stainy, there were may mosquitos so we could enjoy our meal/wine outside after dark. They are not responding to emails. The waiters were not rude, but could not handle unexpected situtations, busy hours (Saturday nights).

We went here with the family to celebrate my grandmothers birthday. I reserved a table 1 day before and asked the chef to prepare a cake for the next day. This was no problem and i was quite delighted since this was so last minute. When we arrived there we ve gotten a table on the terrace with an amazing view ( i must say i travelled quite the world, but this was definetly one of the better views i have seen in my life). The waiters were very nice and polite and did their very best to make it a great experience even though it was quite busy. As a starter we tried the gooseliver which is a famius hungarian dish. This was amazing, Hungarian flavours with a sophisticated culinairy touch. Also we tried the grilled goatcheese and the soup. All were excellent. As maincourses we tried the ' mangalica', the steak all were very nice. The meat was well seasoned and prepared. The details on the plate were nice. During dinner we have seen the chef walk into his garden to pick fresh herbs.. 👍🏻. As for the desert the chef made us this delicious chocolate cake it was amazing, decorated with some fireworks for a festive touch. There is a wide variety of wines you can try and i definetly recommened doing so. And also do not forget to try there home made raspberry and elderflower limonade, these are the best i ever tasted!!... Definetly one of the better restaurants around lake balaton. I hope we can go here sometime soon again!

A nice restaurant with excellent views to lake balaton. You can taste wine from Szeremley winery and enjoy the view while sipping a good fish soup. Not all tables have a view if you want to be on the safe side reserve a table.
Some other restaurants further up the hill also serve food and/or wine but this one is a good option mainly if you are with kids as there is enough room for the kids to play, we have even received paint books and other toys for the little ones. Taste Huba's Keknyelu.
