We had the set menu as part of a DBB stay at Chateaux D'Etoges. We had heard good things about the restaurant so were expecting great things. We left rather disappointed. The food was set up to be well constructed and stylish but feel short on many occasions. For example, we had a chicken dish where the chicken was wrapped... More

We booked into the Chateau d'Etoges for our last night in France before heading back to the UK. We had chosen a room in the Orangerie (also called the Pavillion) as this had air-conditioning. As it was quite hot, that made for quite a difference as the rooms in the Chateau do not have air-conditioning. Lovely grounds, friendly and helpful... More

Really wonderful meal - I opted for the €45 set menu & my partner the €60 menu .. Both were amazing. You could choose for each course between a fish or meat selection. Every course was exquisite & beautifully presented. The oxtail ravioli to start was tender & mouth watering.. The cod I had on the €45 menu was cooked... More

This is one of the best restaurants we ever had dinner in France. We had the "menu degustation" with mathing wines. Simply the best.

This beautiful traditional French Resturant is not to be missed- outstanding service, innovative French cuisine of excellent standard and a wine list most restaurants dream to offer. Don't miss a glass of champagne on the Terrace near the ancient moat next to the chateau before dinner. Manicured lawns framed by hedges and trees with a few chickens clucking about make... More

We ate here whilst enjoying a few nights at the Chateau. We enjoyed one of the degustation menus which are well priced and matched it with a 2010 Chassagne Montrachet from the excellent wine list. The service was attentive and the food excellent. The cheese tray is particularly worth saving your appetite to enjoy.

We have been here twice, the first time was in 2012 and now in June 2016. The venue, menu and service is as heavenly as I remembered it to be. We had a fairy tale evening with amazing food and wine. Always order the lobster and the cheese!

We booked a meal in the orangerie. The meal was wonderful & beautifully presented. Staff at the table were very attentive. My only observation, we were not sure of where we should wait before being shown to our table, same comment made by other guests. Perhaps the restaurant should greet guests at the entrance to the restaurant.

The food was okay, but not brilliant. Especially if you consider the price. I had the shoulder of rabbit confit in olive oil with spelt with juice and parsley. This was okay, but not impressive. After that I had the veal tenderloin. Again okay, bit not impressive. The crayfish on a small tart with green asparagus: only the bisque was... More
