The setting was lovely, the dining area was lovely. But the food was utterly mediocre, one of the worse meals that I had in France. The "vegetable" side was unidentifiably mushy and unappetizing. Our dinner was in stark contrast to the rest of our visit. I will say the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Worth to come back! Food is excellent, the "Tomato" as well as the Raspberry dessert with red pepper are memorable. The decoration of the two rooms and the cozy warm atmosphere made a perfect setting for a romantic dinner.

Went for a friend's birthday party. 60 of us all stayed at the chateau. The rooms were all wonderful with a slightly different decor for each, but they were slightly frayed around the edges - tile work needed re-grouting, perhaps some paint here and there - but generally the standard was high, luxurious. The food was French at its rare... More

We had dinner here 1 night while staying at the chateau and really enjoyed it. We were a bit tired as it was a busy day but the atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxing. It was just 2 of us so we were lucky enough to get a table by the window that I simply loved as the view... More

French classic food in stunning setting with great staff. No complaints here! We had a set menu for 40 people and we were all positively happy with the quality and the service and the presentation- a really nice stop food wise!

we ate twice- once at lunch and had the veal sweet breads which were exceptional. We decided to eat again at dinner and it wasn't so great- morelles dish lacked flavour (actually everything needed seasoning) fish was tasteless, and rabbit lacked salt, the bread was on the verge of stale- obviously from lunch bake. Almost as if different chef was... More

During our stay at this hotel we had dinner one night at the hotel's restaurant. We chose the menu du chateau and accompanied our dinner with a champagne named after the hotel. We liked every plate of the menu except from the morel one. It was too salty and without real taste. One suggestion would be to offer alternatives to... More

We went on December 24th for lunch. When we called to make the reservation, we asked if they had different menus and a la carte because we did not want to have the Christmas menu. They confirmed so we made the reservation. When we arrived they only had the Christmas menu at 90 euros. The foie gras was blend with... More

Such a nice setting for a hotel with an excellent restaurant , rooms very nice, although the beds are too soft and need new mattresses. The front desk friendly and helpful. The restaurant is set in a very nice room and excellent food, 6 course menu for €58 excellent value. Very good wine list. The young waiter was very grumpy... More

Take a leisurely 40 minute drive through the beautiful champagne country from Reims to Fere-en-Tardenois. In Tardenois you will find a partially preserved 12th century castle on the grounds of a chateau that has been converted to a luxury hotel. Inside the hotel is an excellent restaurant. The food was spectacular and although the 4 of us were the only... More
