After an outstanding few drinks at a wine bar (no name evident) opted for this restaurant based on the speakeasy style graphic on the exterior. Inside rather austere heavy furniture Italian. The server spoke only German and Italian, so the chef gamely volunteered to translate...the menu. The German welcome should have perhaps been a red flag. It fast became evident that the food was geared towards German taste with deep fried products and total lack of flavour nuance. Raw walnuts that pitiably, most rancid of nut adorned the uninspiring Gorgonzola dish. My glass of red wine poured from the end of a previously opened bottle that had already oxidised summed up the economic desperation of places that still exist, post COVID. I did not complain for that reason, but as international tourist return, they need to up their game.More

Honest, local food and proper service in a nice cosy environment. Both for lunch and dinner this place is always a good choice

We stopped by and had pasta al ragu with lovely fizzy pignoletto. They had gluten free pasta which was also good. Very nice in all respects. Well done.

We stopped to park our car to take a walk through the village but were so taken by the authentic feel of this restaurant we stopped for lunch. I had two courses a tortellini alla panna and Braciole ai ferri and my wife Tagliatelle al...ragu with an excellent prosecco and red wine all for €31!! The quality was well above what we have had in Italy for that price.More

Food was good, pasta as well as meat, even above average for Porretta, however still not something I will never forget although it had some spirit in it. And a feeling that cook tried to add certain specific individual note into the dish. Service was...ok, with some strange combination of young waiters who was generally friendly but still somehow not really mentally present and older, gray hair guy who was little less friendly, but gave that "something" to the space. Overall, with its strange location (almost in the very city center, with lot of public parking spots around the restaurant), specific service and relatively good food, it is a space you could visit while you are in porretta.More

I stayed in Porretta Terme just to go to this restaurant as it was Slow Food endorsed. Food was wonderful but I have never felt so uncomfortable & unwelcome in a restaurant. I was dining alone and the waitress who served me was very nice...and professional but the guy, who I assumed was Gianni, the owner, worked the floor chatting with everyone else while making a point of ignoring me . It is a small 10 table restaurant & there were only 3 tables with diners ... 1 X 4 + 1 X 2 plus me ... solo diner. I tried to engage him in conversation over wine as I had made a point of ordering a (quite expensive ) local wine ... he was cursory and then later went on to fuss over another table ordering 2 glasses of house wine. Other than that the only thing he said to me all night was Good Night when I left ( can only presume her was glad to get rid of me ... despite the fact I spent well!) ... but made a point of chatting & joking with everyone else in the restaurant and fussing over them all night. Eating alone is not easy at the best of times but being made to feel like nothing while all other diners are engaged in chat & banter makes it even worse. By the time I left I was nearly in tears I felt so disrespected & I was glad to get out of there. I often eat alone when I travel but I have never felt so uncomfortable or unwelcome anywhere.More

We came to the market with family who live in Italy and decided to stay for some lunch. There was one outside table left, the place looked inviting so our decision was made. We all had the menu of the day plus an extra portion...each of an item that my sister had always wished to try. Think it was courgette flower? Sorry to the owner if I have this wrong. Anyway, the four of us very much enjoyed the food, wine and service all at a most reasonable cost.More

Also if I spent the last 30 years or so all around the world I am a true Italian, a Bolognese, and once a year I visit Italy. I own a restaurant in the Kenya Coast, TA N1 from the last five years and I...am proud to say I have clear idea of fine dining and traditional cuisine, wines selection and trattoria concept, my best compliments to Gianni, the Trattoria delle Tele owner for his culinary art, his capacity of blending local products and traditional recipes in an harmonic fine dining expression at a very, very much affordable way. Bravo Gianni, see u next year. Out of two weeks in the area I have been there with friends and guest more than ten time, I higly reccomend this restaurant to all visitors.More

First night in town, found this Trattoria. Excellent food, good wine selection - on upper end of cost for this type of meal. Still very nice though.
