We visit Hacienda la Bodega for lunch and we was surprised for the old Spanish decoration that is very cool with all the Bulls head in the wall, old wine bottle, the Spanish painting and photos that make you feel like you are in small...old villa in Spain or Mexico, food are excellent, well presented and good flavor the real one, the staff was average no to friendly and not give you no mush information on the dishes, we ended with food like for 8 people in the table we only was 2, one of the dishes Casserole El Paso that I recommend is for 4 persons but they not said nothing, well is a learning experience, we are not speak Czech and they not speak good English, in general they have a very good food and you need to pay for that, and yes is true the place look old and dusty but I think is the recreation of this old Spanish villas, I like itMore
I went to La Bodega for a dinner with brother. When we got an appetizer (baguette and cheese)... we noticed there were ants marching around pastry. Quite surprising, I completely lost appetite for main dish.
We've been to Hacienda La Bodega recently. This place can be difficult to find, it's situated by main road in Frydek-Mistek, but sort of hidden. When we entered the restaurant we got this spanish - south american feel from all the decorations around, I liked...it. We were there on friday night and the place was kind of busy. They serve lunch as well and their specials change daily.
Their wine list is pretty extensive from Argentinian, Mexican, Chilean, Spanish and more, we ordered a bottle of white wine, I don't remember which was it, but it was excellent they also offer full bar. Menu offers just about everything from spanish, mexican and south american cuisines, even some italian dishes as you can check out for yourself on their website. Too many dishes, in my opinion. I started with escargot served with herb butter and grana (hard) cheese, my boyfriend ordered beef carpaccio served on hot pan. I must say both appetisers were very good, it was served with a complimentary bread and butter.
I ordered sword fish with grilled vegetables, my fish wasn't particurerly very good, it was dry and missing seasoning, vegetables were good. My boyfriend had hanger steak with french fries, the steak was done just right. We finished our dinner with chocolate pound cake and tiramisu, the desserts could use a little tweaking.
Overall, it was a good dinner if it wasn't for that dry sword fish. The service was very nice and quick. The prices are little bit higher then average, but again, they offer higher quality products. I would give them another chance for sure, perhaps for lunch next time.More
We stayed here one night, the rooms were really hot, no airco and ventilator. Rooms with low quality furniture, bathroom was new renovated. Directly located at the highway, very noisy. Breakfast was really simple and low quality (even for CZ)
The food was partially ok,...one steak was well done instead of medium rare. Inside everything is dark and dirty, the new owner doesnt take care of cleaning.
We were a group from Finland (icehockey fans), stayed at the hotel 4 5 nights in the suites, what a great service, friendly and english speaking staff, and the food, lovely meat, snails, good beer and wines, would give 5 stars but there were no...fridges or minibars in the suites...More
