Had a delicious meal in a restaurant that has plenty to offer. Great service, good food, authentic old world ambience in a great location next to a river. We had Kacamak, mixed salad, meat peasant mode, apple strudel, wine and liqueur. It was well presented and the waiter was very friendly and engaging.

Restaurant Vodenica was a wonderful surprise in the small mountain town of Kolasin. We were a party of 6 and had a last minute reservation. This small family owned restaurant accommodated us no problem. Given that we were visitors from America we had no idea what to order. Our gracious waiter, Vukasin who is part of the family, knew exactly what to do. He recommended that we trust him to bring local meat and potato dishes along with other local favorites that they specialize in making. Everything he brought to the table was amazing. Dish after dish had us oohing and aahing over the unique flavor combinations. The wine recommendation was spot on. Local after dinner liquor and coffee was a perfect ending to a FANTASTIC meal.

Everything was delicious , we ordered the traditional kacamak and veal meat with potatoes which was nit only good tasting but also big portion. We were 4 people and spend less than 80 euros. The waiter was kind , he explained us the traditional foods to order with patience. Highly recommended as restorant.

After one hour and 40 minutes wait to have the local speciality (kacamak) Vodenica is famous for, along with several loud complaints, we finally managed to take two portions to go. The staff was very annoyed at out order, even told us "What should I do, put all orders on hold to make you your kacamak ?" Mind you, they never declined our order, and took our money in full with some sort of apology for the wait. However, after we arrived home (the restaurant was full) we were surprised to find not kacamak but some sort of polenta packed with flour remains, which was not salty but sweet and inedible. There was no cheese stretches whatsoever, it was clearly a leftover or a mid-product of sorts. Needless to say, were very disappointed as this place is famous for its kacamak and we have eaten it dozens of times so we know this is simply a neglect of customers - whether on purpose or accidental. However, we will never have lunch here again and advise everyone else to avoid this place. The staff is rude, the place overcrowded and the food we received was served to the dogs.

I only gave it 3 stars because of the waiter , he was trying so hard for the clients that were there , otherwise the place is nice but to warm , the whole restaurant has like 12 tables and the food took 1hour and 10minutes to be served , the food its not the best its not the worst. A bit dissapointed. I mean its a good restaurant but be prepared for alot of waiting. Price wise : I took a kruna loza which in the menu said its 2€ and in the end the recipt said 2.50€ for a kruna loza , so be prepared to be skimmed.

We order the food and we literally wait around 1 hour without any reasons and explanations. On our call to restaurant, staff said we have to wait about 15-30mins and there is no need reservation. Once we came it was terrible to wait in middle of the season on 35°C outside for such long time.

Last night we visited the Vodenica restaurant in Kolasin. We returned to Montenegro and of course we wanted to eat kačamak. It was cold, we sat outside and waited for an hour. it was strange to us, so we went to ask if it would be fast. The waitress replied that they didn't have any more kačamak. I just can't believe how welcomed we were and what kind of service it was. I have the worst things to say about this restaurant, especially the staff who sat in front of the kitchen drinking coffee while we waited an hour for our food. No one even deigned to tell us not to wait until we asked. Rating 0 out of 10.

We came a group of 18 people. They arranged a lovely table. The food was plentiful and delicious. We started with their salad of tomatoes, cakes and cabbage. Then they served carpaccio and a yellow cheeses that was delicious. For the main course they served veal, chicken and for the vegetarians a type of bean stew. For dessert they had apple pie or baklava cake. To to it off we had tea and coffee. Lovely service and def worth returning

The food was tasty and the menu is quite extensive, including some local dishes. Democratic awards. We ate outside on the cozy terrace where you can hear a small waterfall flowing. Inside it also looks very rustic and cozy. However, I didn't find the service particularly friendly.

The setting is very pleasant: beautiful wooden terrace overlooking the stream. The food is excellent, there are many local dishes like Kacamak, Cicvara and Popara which we shared as accompaniments to our dishes. The server is very efficient, only for the service. He asks to order quickly but took the time to chat with us.

The restaurant is very nice and located near a stream of water. Food is local and we ordered the local dish made with corn and cheese and soup of the day and vegetables salad. All were very tasty. Service was good and pleasant. Price was ridiculously law

If you are in Kolasin, a very good and complex contact with the local cuisine is the restaurant Vodenica. Situated over an old water mill (very pitoresque location), it is decorated in a traditional way. The menu is also traditional and the prices are reasonable. You will be tempted to order more than you can eat :) The staff is friendly and helpful with the choices, the menu is tri-lingual. We ordered by looking at other tables, they all had Kacamac. Great choice!

Had a lovely traditional meal and wine. The service is good. Food is simple but delicious. Large portions and good advice on what to try. We ordered various items to share so we could sample a bit of all local dishes. The fish was superb and the Kajamak was good too. House wine was not bad at all

The customer service by Martin was 5 out of 5, his English communication helped us to be very comfortable throughout our visit to the restaurant. The food also was amazing 1) Chicken Fillet 2) Fish tout 3) Beef. Keep it up guys, the tourist need many more restaurants like this in Mojkovac.
