Second visit to the anchor, the food is classic English food. Average quality but very cheap. I would recommend to people that are not comfortable trying the local cuisine. Good views over punta prima sea.

It is shut and is not going to re -open. There are no bars as such in town, but you can get drinks in all of the restaurants. Not the same though is it?

Went here for a meal after hearing great reviews to find it had closed down and was boarded up! I'm sure if it had still been open it would have been lovely :(

I have been to this bar on previous visits to Punta Prima, and always a good place for a drink, and watching football. Great bar service, and will not hesitate to return in the future. This bar is great for all ages/ families etc.

before our holiday to punta prima , we researched places to eat the anchor was one that had good reviews .the food was basic , service was slow and when the food arrived it was not worth the price or the wait , our party of ten took our custom elsewhere .

Although the two staff / owners were really friendly this doesn't really make up for the disappointingly small portions of food. I read the Anchor's response to a previous review and although I can understand keeping costs down this should be advertised more as a pub that does a few snacks rather than a restaurant. I really did like the... More

Having read good reviews we decided to try this place. Extremely disappointing, service very poor, limited menu & food lukewarm. To be fair there only seemed to be 2 people working and they seemed overwhelmed. Couldn't wait to leave.
