There's not many places to go in Millport in the winter unless you fancy a walk. We were on route to the bus stop home after a lovely day out when we came across this delightful cafe and were happy to get a seat. The food may seem a little more expensive but the food is worth it. Well presented... More

Great service from Moria at The Midge! Bill had an omelette and I had the veggie breakfast scrumptious! Sat outside in the sun wi our wee dug!

My husband and I love our visits to the midge, great range of breakfasts from porridge , American, full Scottish...as for the toasties yum yum . Can't fault the place and love the view. Our only disappointments are its always mobbed and we worry we won't get a seat and it doesn't open in the evening 😪

I was in Millport over the weekend with my 4 year old daughter. On Sunday morning we made our way to The Dancing Midge for some brunch. The food was great and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A real teaser of a menu with great choice! Oh and then there are the scones!!! A visit to Millport is... More

The first thing I want to do upon arriving in Millport is to head to the Midge! The food is excellent, the service is fantastic and the place is spotlessly clean. I visited this week and had their famous French toast with bacon and maple syrup which was fantastic. This is one of my favourite brunch meals and I don't... More

I understand it was busy that Saturday but having paid for my food to take away as the cafe was full I don't appreciate being asked to wait outside (twice) for it. Service without a smile. Baked potato was soggy. Not worth the very long wait for myself and my son's food. I can however highly recommend the newly opened... More

What a warm, welcoming, busy cafe. Staff are lovely and friendly. The food is amazing, personally I would recommend the French toast, bacon and maple syrup. Delicious. Great choice of food, from breakfasts to toasties, soup, burger, scones and cakes etc. Will definitely be retuning on my next visit to the island. 👍🏼

Friendly little cafe, seating both inside and out. Very clean and tidy (you can see into kitchen when sat inside) Staff warm and welcoming, nothing was too much bother. Fresh, hot, tasty and home cooked food. Two full Scottish breakfasts with orange juice (included in price) great value for money. Popular with tourists and locals. Would return and definitely recommend... More
