We had a lovely meal and great wine at this restaurant. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, and efficient. Arogant and rude welcome... I will never try again to come to this place, not because of the food but because if the rudeness and arogance of the person behind the bar which is the owner..

Visiting this Basque village , famous for its air dried red chillies , to be seen and purchased all around the village were struggling to find food that whet the appetite in the local restaurants. We stopped here for lunch whilst wandering round Espelette. We'd been wanting to try the local veal and pepper stew called Axoa. This restaurant had it as one of their mains on the 20 euro menu. Aintzina is a good restaurant serving going local food. Its specialities are all good local food. This is a busy restaurant that quickly fills up. Quite a lot of seating inside. Wise to reserve or arrive right on noon or you may miss out.
