This is a massive restaurant a little off the main historic centre area. It is a wonderful hive of activity with at least two Mariachi bands playing in different corners of the enourmous patio garden restaurant. It definitely isn't a place to go for a quiet romantic candle light dinner but it is a place to go to enjoy the... More

This place it's not good. The food it's horrible, the service, omg. It was the second time that I visit that place and it was the same. I don't recommend this restaurant to nobody. Food taste really bad.

Was visiting Tlaquepaque with business colleagues one night after work and the local recommended El Abajeno. Seems to be the place to eat for people from work and it definitely serves good enough food. Nothing too fancy and part of its appeal is the large courtyard dining area and Mariachi music. Service was excellent.

Was taken here by a local to get good tacos and the food did not disappoint. A nice courtyard setting (description covered) with good food and a nice ambiance. The strolling mariachi band Isa little over the top especially if you want a quiet meal but otherwise a nice setting

Nice restaurant to take a bunch of friends and enjoy tequila shots or a round of margaritas. The atmosphere is very Mexican and festive, the locations are different but they usually resemble the old hacienda house from old days, with a fountain in the centre and mariachi playing. The food is really good, a lot of meats, but the downside... More

Well I have also been to the abejeno at la Minerva, and that one in Tlaquepaque is far better. The atmosphere is nice, the Mariachi music great, the service food as well. We ordered a package for 4 people which we actually used for 6 people with a bottle of tequila and 3 cazuelas and a parillada which was a... More

And they were right! The small entrance belies the large atmospheric courtyard restaurant inside, with fountains and mariachis. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was truly as Mexican and delicious as we had been ed to expect.

Slow service, good time listening to mariachi, if you are patient and want to enjoy some Mexican music then this is the place to be. I suggest the " parrillada" and the " cazuela"

Visited with a large 20 person group. We had an amazing lunch. We all loved the food, drinks, atmosphere and Mariachi group. Eat here and then stroll around Thlaquepaque. Super recomendado el lugar!

Terrible service, we waited more than 30 min and only our drinks were served and there were not even more than 5 tables being served.
