Excellent breakfast buffet, live music (not too loud, unlike other places), beautiful setting, and it even has a children's play area for little ones to stay busy! Located in a beautiful, quieter part of town, you can go shopping or tour the area before or after you eat. Highly recommended!

We have lived in Guadalajara for 7 years and this restaurants was always the one where we brought friends on their first visit to Tlaquepaque. It used to be full with live entertainment aa female mariachi band who were outstanding and the food was excellent. We had not been in the last 10 months and we went on Tuesday this... More

Should have known something was wrong whe we had to send back the tortilla soup TWICE just to get it warm. Waiters were attentive and seemed embarrassed. Chef must have called in sick this night -- the worst, most unimaginative food we have had in our years in Mexico.

I was able to make a reservation for saturday lunch. At 15h there is a mariachi presentation, female mariachis, very talented. Also some couples presenting traditional dances. That makes it even better. The place it self is located in Calle Independencia, very comfortable and nice patio inside with trees, and a fountain. I really recommend, beause has excellent cost benefit.

This is our second visit to El Patio, we enjoyed the unique female Mariachis last year so we came back with friends. I notice a lot of different comments about this place. Both of our experiences were very enjoyable. I wouldn't rate the food as really top cabin or gourmet, but it's solid regional cuisine with ample portions. It always... More

The place is comfortable and has a true tapatio ambiance. The dishes are delicious although you could remain a little bit hungry if you don't be careful of the portion of the dish you ask. Nevertheless beverages are also great, I particularly recommend the tamarind margarita. The most remarkable thing is the female mariachi band and the regional dancers that... More

el Patio located on the walking street is a great place to enjoy lunch and be entertained. The restaurant is known for its female mariachis who play at 3:00 every afternoon. My favorite food is chiles en nogado. This is not a spicy food but is a delicous typical Jalisco food made with pomegranetes, ground walnuts, a meat and fruit... More

I've been to El Patio before, and have had good experiences. After today, I won't go back. The food's ok; the overall atmosphere is very nice. They started something new: a rude young woman approaches the table and asks where you're from. You tell her, and shortly afterward a flag of your country appears on the table. Personally, I don't...
