Chef/patron Alex serves his own twist on the Swiss food from his childhood here, with a single menu - no choice - which changes with the seasons. All the food has a little creativity and flair, and offers great value for the area (the menu of 4 courses without dessert is 40-60 swiss francs). Wines are local, and also good.... More

We had a wonderful meal here. The owner is very friendly and clearly passionate about his food. The meal was delicious and a highlight of our trip. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Nendaz!

This is not your typical Swiss Restaurant with the usual fare of raclette and fondue. The chef owner, Alex leaves that to others, while he relives his childhood through his menu of the day. He uses only the finest local produce. Our fish course was a fresh lake fish from Lake Geneva called la fera. It was delicate and delicious.... More

A little gem in the Valais. Simple and authentic, but the food is prepared with love and passion. There is a set menu, food and products from the 'terroir', some things you have never eaten in your life. Ambiance and atmosphere are wonderful, reserve time to speak to the owner :-) for a nice chat about food, Haute Nendaz, music... More

My wife booked a dinner for our son's 15th birthday. The service was friendly and easy going, the variety of food served was tremendous and all delicious. So much care goes into what is put on the table to eat. The dining style is very casual but the food experience is superb. We love restaurants that focus on great food... More

Local authentic chalet serving unique menus designed on a daily basis. The menu is adapted depending on chef's creativity and season. We were offered one "surprise" menu which we very much enjoyed. We had a great time there, and in comparison to standard Swiss prices we considered it as a very good value for money. The experience had an eccentric... More

Alex the owner appears to be on a one man mission to prove not all Swiss eat Fondue! His 17 taste set menu is delicious and excellent value. The meat mains is second to none.. Tender and delicious! His wine selection is excellent.. It's worth the 2 minutes off the beaten track to find and enjoy it!

After spending a fabulous evening eating at Le Lanterne, last winter, my partner and I decided it was the perfect way to end an evening with friends after a very small personal wedding ceremony in Sion. The food is always amazing, the atmosphere is very homely and personal and we knew Alex and his team would make us feel special... More
