Can't fault the excellent three course lunch at Fischer's, wonderful food, friendly staff, lovely dining room in a fabulous Manor House and all for under £30 a head. Loved every course and will be back soon.

Visited with friends who are regular visitors. Didn't know what quote to expect - but fair to say will definitely be going back. If you looking for a very special treat or just that romantic special meal this is definitely the place to visit. We stopped overnight in a room that was big in size and quality and made for... Fischers Visited Chesterfield recently and booked Fischers for a dinner for two on a Sunday night. They requested a £20 booking fee, which surprised me, but apparently this is common when dining at a Michelin restaurant. [The deposit is deducted from the final bill]. We drove in the rain and dark and missed the entrance, which was poorly lit, as... More

quality is so important to the staff when visiting the area of chatsworth house, our group planned a culinary treat. The experience at fischer was wonderful, welcomed in and introduced to the very talented chefs team. A large sign on the kitchen canape saying HAPPY COOKING says it all . there is a great team ethic. a restaurant that should... More

The Scottish salmon and the venison was simple beautiful! Will no doubt be back, many thanks. Me and my dear friend made a long trip to sample the menu and it all lived up to and beyond all expectations and the grounds are truly magnificent. So so well maintained. Jean

The two course set lunch for £20.16 was delicious. The six of us chose a variety of well cooked dishes which included Stinking Bishop souffle, roasted cod and ox cheek. Three of us chose sweet which were a little disappointing. Overall this is a restaurant with good food backed by great service in grand surroundings.

Ok ,its a Michelin starred restaurant so excellent food and service is expected and delivered in a faultless way.But the little extras and nice surprises just keep coming to lift the whole experience even further. Without compromising the high standards, there is then a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Add in prices at mid week lunch that you would expect... More

Our 25th wedding anniversary brought us back to Fischers after too many years. The Taste of Britain menu was perfect for the occasion. Each dish was superb and the wine pairings were nicely judged; in some cases a revelation. The dining room was lovely, although It felt a little quiet on a midweek evening. Service was efficient and not too... More

We are lucky enough to go to Fischer's 2 or 3 time a year, and it is always superb. The setting is a beautiful hall in wonderful gardens, including the kitchen garden and 12 beehives of Sheffield Honey Company. Service is always exemplary; friendly and attentive. The food is always awesome. I don't think think I've ever had a single... More

Visited for Saturday lunch as a birthday treat for my Mum, with us having the Taste of Britain lunch menu. My Mum is both vegetarian and coeliac but with advance notice, this was no problem whatsoever for them. The food was of a good standard and more consistent I would say than my last visit in March. Service was also... More
