We stayed for a night and dined on the taster menu.We had been bought a voucher which paid for the majority of our stay but am not sure I can say it was value for money. £440 for dinner bed and breakfast. There is no doubt the evening meal - the 8 course taster menu is value for money and... More

We ate here in August 2016 and it was amazing. We sat at the kitchen tasting bench and watched the team prepare dinner. Everyone was so friendly and professional it was really something to experience. The ten course taster menu was excellent from start to finish, good produce, well cooked and presented, to be fair we couldn't give anything but... More

A special occasion restaurant. We took the Kitchen Tasting Bench option with paired wines which was magnificent . A great night of indulgence that's difficult to beat with chef Rupert making the night special indeed. The taste of Britain menu sampling many dishes came at just the right pace and quantity. A very memorable night.

Stayed overnight for the first time having bed breakfast and evening meal. The staff were warm friendly and the service throughout the whole stay was exceptional. My wife and I had a three course meal. All food was cooked very well and presentation was excellent. My starter of scallops and black pudding was rather bland. Scallops should be tall and... More

The only time we've visited this restaurant - we happened to be staying in the area on a walking holiday with friends, and were so looking forward to tasting the fayre of the only Michelin starred restaurant in the area. Lovely looking building - inside and out ! The food really just wasn't that good : * 3 rather lacklustre... More

Beautiful old hall, with gorgeous interior set the mood. All staff friendly and knowledgeable. Food was exquisite - I had crab starter and lamb main course - finished with brandy and coffee. Inc tip GBP100/head which is very good considering all above - take note Sat Bains, Nottingham, there is much to learn!!

We went to Fischers to celebrate my husbands birthday. The hall and gardens are beautiful. The staff are very polite, efficient and friendly. The food is simply brilliant. Give it a try by going for lunch,it's well worth it for £20.16 for two courses. I'm sure once you've been you'll want to go again

Had the £20.16 lunch here which was to be honest good value. However, not impressed that my starter came complete with a caterpillar!!! This was served in plain view, so clearly plate wasn't checked before it was sent from the kitchen. Raised this issue with the staff, who said that the vegetables were grown on site.... but were apologetic. No... More

I went for lunch with three girl friends to celebrate a couple of important birthdays. We travelled from Manchester and it was well worth the journey. It is a lovely place with a marvellous relaxing atmosphere. To say nothing of the superb garden. But you really want to know about the food. The lunch time menu is astonishing value and... More

We came here to celebrate our big birthdays and were not disappointed! On arrival we had canapés in the lounge with a glass of Prosecco - a very elegant start to our evening. An option to start with walk through the garden on the warm evening would have been nice but not sure if this was possible. We were then... More
