Decent pub serving good pub food. Large outdoor area for kids -plenty of undercover dining outside where we ate with the dog.(Not sure if they are dog friendly inside)

Food served within 3 minutes of ordering which always makes me suspicious. Lasagne was warm and clearly made up of mainly mechanically recovered meat from the bone and swimming in gristle. Most curious bit is that when asked by the waitress and bar man whether...More

Set in the village of Baslow, only a stones throw from Chatsworth, the Wheatsheaf is a big friendly pub with a large outdoor seating and play area,so it’s ideal for kids. It’s a Marston’s pub so the menu is standard pub grub, nothing special but ok.

Hi there, I am afraid we drove but I would think about half an hour. There is a long drive to the house but there may be a shorter way by foot. Why not ring and ask the Wheatsheaf to be sure? Enjoy.
