This café has beautiful décor, friendly staff & delicious homemade food (including dairy free aioli & honey mustard, which they have for sale, due to popular demand). The cappuccino was very tasty, with plenty of chocolate. Apart from the lovely food, they also have a log fire, (liquorice allsorts) jewellery for sale and some beautiful native wild life sculptures for... More

Such a nice place for lunch on a sunny day. Lots of choices in cabinet food, good coffee and smiley friendly service. They also gave a small shop gifts and Italian herbs, spices mixes , sauces and jams. Highly recommended.

Well that was unexpected.... wine from Mt Beautiful very delicious, seafood chowder unbelievable. Coffee ummm the time we waited for the meal bit long, if I had ordered the bottle of wine instead of a glass I would have finished the bottle before getting the food, but it was worth waiting for.

We went for a quiet drive as the road through to Kaikoura was closed again due to slips. We had the kumura and garlic soup and their sausage roll. Both must have been home made. Both were stunning. Very friendly staff. Great service. Very pleased to be able to support this now struggling rural town. Definitely will be back.
