Spent the day hiking with lunch on the trail. Headed out home stopped at The Mad Musher in Whitney. Beautiful location beside the Mazinaw River. We were told that they were full and might be a bit of a wait. We had a table within 10 minutes, very busy. Our server quickly arrived gave a good description of the menu... More

The two of us stayed in town to check on my parents building and had supper at the mad musher on the weekend. Service was fast and pleasant but getting our bill was another story. We got tired of waiting and got up to pay our bill. Meal was good and enjoyed the fries. Very filling.

A nice little place located just outside Algonquin Provincial Park. After a long day of trekking it's a comfort to be able to sit down and enjoy some decent food. The menu is surprisingly broad with choices for nearly every appetite. My group went for the basics - homemade burgers with fresh cut fries. All good! The decor is very... More

Four of us adults stopped in here for lunch last Thursday on our way to view the leaves in Algonquin Park. We all had something different and none of us were disappointed!

My boyfriend and I had just spent a pretty long day hiking in Algonquin Park, and were staying at a nearby AirBnB. We weren't in the mood to cook, so we headed down the street to the Mad Musher. At night the whole place is lit up by blue spotlights, and it looks rather small - so, to be honest,... More

Possibly hit this place on an untypical weekend, but found the service VERY leisurely and the staff offhand practically to the point of being rude. The menu is ambitious, but you're safer with the staple hamburgers and fish and chips. They have a near monopoly for cheaper eats in Whitney, and look as if they know it.

Good food, good and friendly service, needs a little updating but other then that it was nice, it's campy! Lol. I had the Philly steak appetizers and hubby had the Algonquin burger and fries. Fries were nice and crispy and appetizer was also crispy and good!
