One of the best place to eat, either for lunch or dinner. But be sure to reserve with enough time ahead, because it's one of the most loved places in St Palais and it's often booked full! The best dishes are mussels and french fries, with different variations: with cheese, wine... they have several kinds. You can also order some... More

A family favourite - sampling moules in a restaurant on stilts as the rising tide laps under the floor. A quirky place prettily situated on top of rocks off the west side of the bay. Make sure you book in advance as it's very popular. Lots of choices on the menu and the food is delicious and plentiful.

Right at the side of the beach with good views of the bay. A busy, bustley restaurant with a great line in Moules et Frites, pizzas, steaks and local cuisine. The local house wine isn't bad either! Very friendly helpful staff- not a lot of room between the tables but that's ok. Good value for money and very enjoyable.

Been coming here for 15 years. Good value, lively beach eatery. Not haute cuisine but doesn't pretend to be. Moules frites and a carafe of Charentais van de pays does it for me!

We wanted to book for 20h00, and were told that the restaurant was full, but we could have a table at the second sitting at 21h30; We booked two days in advance and arrived at 21h25. Many tables were free and other customers were on the point of leaving. Instead of being shown to one of the empty tables, we... More

I come in that restaurant for years and years. Of course it has nothing really special in term of cooking, do not expect to be over surprised by dishes but mussels are excellent and Lolo really takes care about where they come from according to the season and quality of the moment. All mussels are served with specific home made... More

We ate here on a number of occasions, it is accessed either directly from the beach or the street, a typical seaside restaurant/ pizzeria complete with mussels etc. Being located to the side of the beach meant really good views of the whole bay. The view on a summers evening is excellent. The menu is extensive and being a pizzeria,... More

Busy place with lots of guests. The atmosphere is a bit stressed. Food is OK. There are moules with many different flavorings, but they are all cooked in the same way and the sauce is then poured over. Quite many bad ones. Not expensive. OK but ot more.

Situated right on the edge of the beach this has a view that can't be bettered in St Palais. I had the Chez Lolo Mussels which were by far the best I'd had in a while - our table also had a pork dish, mixed seafood and a pizza along with soup to start. Everyone loved their food, prices were... More

noticed Lolo's on our way to our car so thought we'd try it. It was a scorching but a quiet Tues. We hadn't booked but managed a seat overlooking the sea - perfect. There were many french customers , always a good sign. The staff were very friendly, the service was quick and the mussels delic with a sharing bowl of... More
