If the weather is good then this is a good place to eat en plein air in St Palais. Watch the world go by near the beachfront with a cocktail from their extensive choice. Good menu for main courses but desserts alone are filling if you don't mind the calories. Also dog friendly with water bowl kindly provided without asking,... More

Decided to try this restaurant for the last night. Went for sole and duck which were both excellent. Good service from the waiters. A bottle of Muscadet sur lie was an excellent accompaniment. For desert we went for strawberries and cream and apple crumble which were both superb. Probably the best meal of the week in St Palais. The bill... More

Summer 2014 ...this was my introduction to this beautiful place, the setting and my first experience of moules et frites in France... divine to say the least. And at each new place we stopped and time I ordered the dish again.. Was disappointed as this the best!! Cannot wait to return and savour the flavour once more. Manifique!!!

Right opposite the small town beach in St. Palais with a good amount of outdoor seating for the sunny days plus a very attractive bistro interior. Excellent pleasant service and superb value menus from the cheapest menu upwards. Great moules, frites, wine and coffee for e10 but an even better lunch menu jour at e14 with a very good starter... We had Sunday lunch in November - well out of season but sunny and warm and the place was well patronised. Well located near the beach and a pleasant environment indoors. Not much of a welcome but later reasonably attentive, pleasant service from one waiter. Somewhat limited choice out of season - everything on blackboards. Our starters were good -... More

We always eat at this restaurant when in St Palais sur Mer and have never been disappointed. Great Moules, Steak and the fish is so fresh its tastes so good (always a special). Great staff, very helpful and friendly. This a great place for a drink, a coffee to while the afternoon away people watching but also a super evening... More

Quite hip inside lots of white leather, lovely view and lots of choice. However lots of frites so very touristy. Good for a coffee and ice cream.

The Globetrotter specialises in mussels, you can have them anyway you want the here. The only problem is that in peak season, (when we recently visited), the service is very poor and the whole experience is a bit of a let down. Our party ate mussels and some ate pizza. The mussels were okay but the pizzas comprised of thick... More
