Food was very good.... Unfortunately only the greeter at the desk at the entrance wore a mask. NONE of the servers wore masks. We refused to be seated - so just did take out. Will not be back because of this lack of concern for...patrons. HEALTH RISKS MATTER especially in this state of Florida where the virus is RAGING.More

The food was great, the service was amazing and the view was perfect! We shared the mussels and although they were a bit overcooked they were still good. We also had a bowl of She Crab Soup which was delicious! We wanted the Prime Rib...but we ran out of room so we will go back before we leave town.More

We typically look forward to eating here when we visit each December for two weeks. This year’s visit was very average. Our drinks were filled once, and even though many tables were vacated around us we rarely saw our server. The portions were as of...usual, but the flavor is just average. It really seems like the place is more of a Drinkery/bandstand than a restaurant.More

We visited the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum and were interested in a waterfront restaurant serving seafood. Down the Hatch was the perfect place. My husband and I enjoyed the riverfront setting and the delicious food. Hubby had a blackened Fish Reuben sandwich. The serving...was nice sized and was very flavorful. I started with the She-Crab soup. It was so good, that I had to keep from licking the bowl. I also ordered the coconut shrimp basket. The basket included 5 shrimp and so many fries that I couldn’t finish. We will definitely be back.More

After arriving here in Daytona Beach my wife and I asked a local person who lives here where to go for a great seafood dinner. They immediately replied Down the Hatch at Ponce Inlet. I admit it was a little hard to find but once...we did we were in for a wonderful experience. We were able to get a table with a water view and enjoyed watching boats go by and got a glimpse of a Dolphin. The seafood was delicious including the Trigger fish and shrimp, if you haven't been there we highly recommend it for the whole family.More

We flew to Daytona Beach to visit mom around my husband's birthday and we went to Down the Hatch for his birthday dinner. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The food was great and the service we got was excellent. We loved the...atmosphere and the decor and being by the water made it even better. Definitely a place to go when visiting mom and for special occassions.More

on the inlet side and right on the water so you get to see the sunset from that water view. The food was yummy and the wait-staff was outstanding. Very fun place to have dinner or just a drink

We drive down from Ormond Beach to eat lunch here on the deck--good food, good service, reasonable prices, good views of the river! It's worth the drive. For being very rustic outdoors, the indoor space is inviting and we plan to come back for dinner...in the future. Amid the pandemic, outdoor tables were distant enough that we felt comfortable. My personal favorite? Clam strip basket. Probably the best I've had south of Cape Cod!More

We love to visit here when come to Daytona Beach Shores, a little drive to ponce inlet but worth the trip , there is the lighthouse, museums, fishing piers to see as well, We love the conch fritters and the pounder flounder basket is GREAT...enough for my husband and I to share , we saw dolphins and sea turtles this time out the window you can eat outdoors if you like. WE even saw a 3 story yacht hooked up to the entire side of the dock this time WOW never seen one that big and tall . Enjoy if you go!More

I don't know if they do, it would be best to contact the restaurant for that information.

It's still open. I just saw this so don't know if you all are still here. Don't know why they didn't answer the phone unless you were calling off hours. Very few restaurants take reservations here. The majority are "first... More

I’m not sure, but if the music started at 5:00, perhaps the Happy Hour too?
