We had dinner here yesterday and I must say everything about this place is great EVERYTHING. The food, ambience, service all worthy of 5 stars and more. It’s a family run setup and they really put their heart into this place and it shows across...everything they do. Just brilliant!More

To be clear: the food is good! But: coperta @ 3€ per person (we were there as a family of 5) makes you start with 15 €. Then: Primi for 14 to 16 € and you get exactly fivr (5!) ravioli-like pasta pieces per person....This is insane. My tagliata was very good. But again: 16 € for the meat, without contorsi. The additionnal potatoes were for 4 €. Whch makes then 20€ for a Secundo. We had to pay 179€ for having: Two (2!!) antipasti to share with 5 people; 3 Primi (Pasta for our teenage children) and 2 Secundi (for us parents). One bottle of wine and some water. We decided not to take any dessert. It is just overexpensive. We left still hungry! There are restaurants in the area, with similar or even better quality, that have lower prices. - So two marks for the food, otherwise I would have given only one, because this is what the middle-ages called usury and it's absolutely in contrary to the ideals of the Poverello, who died just 100m from here.More

10 of us were walking around in the hot July sun when we came across this wonderful place. The owner was on the call (and spoke excellent English). Good range of food and drink. Everything was spot on which you would expect as it was...not cheap.More

Loved, Loved, Loved everything about this restaurant. The atmosphere, the staff was super friendly and I am assuming the owner was very passionate; you could just feel the vibrant energy and the food was amazing.

At foothills of Assisi I found this gem of a restaurant, Ristorante Valerie What a great lunch, I am very passion about the restaurants I go to, I like finding ones that the owner has roll up his/her sleeves n is working in it !...This young man has created a great dining experience n great food! Started off with an unbelievable cheese board n then a great pasta filled with zucchini n sausage! Such a wonderful experience, only one bloc northeast of Sante Maria Delgi Angel Basilica Five min walk Shall be back!❤️❤️❤️🍷More

When we visited, the restaurant had holiday decorations and it looked cute. The food, unfortunately, was mostly bland, sometimes lacking taste and sometimes- balanced combinations. Potato cream soup was quite tasteless and the shrimp on top of it had a strong fishy smell. Beef tartare...was nice on its own but pappa al pomodoro didn’t make much sense there and cheese was overcoming the meat. Pasta with truffle had so little truffle that after two forks you were just eating pasta with butter (which was housemade and good, but truffle appeared strictly for a decoration). I tried friend’s risotto and it was not salty enough. Pâté from another friend was inedible (she left half of that chicken course untouched). What was great (and also interesting) is tortelli with liquid carbonara inside! Though the sauce contained mushrooms and you couldn’t feel it. Luckily, everybody seemed to appreciate the dessert. Tiramisu lollipops were certainly a success and I really loved my “torta meringata al limone”. An apple with cinnamon and gelato was good as well.More

We had excellent service! It was a random week day, and the restaurant was not crowded at all. The waiter spoke excellent English and gave us recommendations. The food was so delicious, probably the fanciest food we had during our 8 day trip in Italy....Nothing better than saffron chantilly creme cannolis! And reasonably priced.More

Very good restaurant, fresh Italian food - my husband had a pasta dish to start with and charred grilled tuna, I had the loin pork with truffle cooked perfectly and cannoli for dessert which was the best I’ve had anywhere (apart from Sicily). Service was...good if just a little slow, the waiter recommended some excellent local wine.More

Cute spot in Assisi where we enjoyed a lovely dinner. Plating and service was top notch and it was a great first meal for our trip to Italy. Some of the pasta dishes were lacking a little flavor but the overall atmosphere, service and other...dishes more than made up for it. Great wine selection in a variety of price categories.More

Our group had a delicious meal there today. The pasta was fabulous, the wine was smooth, the salad was crisp and I'd eat there again in a heartbeat. The owner is gracious, the prices are good, the menu is varied and the decor was tasteful....If anyone is in the area and looking for amazing Italian food. Try Valerie's.More
