Went there without reservation in the middle of the week. Found a table for four. Starters were fine, grilled goat cheese and bruscets. All of us chose tuna steak. We had to ask to make it raw, otherwise it would be medium which just doesn't...go well with this fish. It was really delicious together with warm vegetable. Wine was fine. Creme Brule for dessert. Here there were quite a few vanilla seeds in my portion but others looked fine. Recommendation to the staff, don't touch glass with the bottle, don't start cleaning (washing glasses...) when guests are still there, ask owners to repair obviously old floor, make a proper wine list with more information about the wine and not only names + translate it into other languages. Overall good choice, nice evening and will return again. Thank you.More

It was not the first time I was in this restaurant. They change the menu very often, I would say everyone can choose meal. They offer wide selection of wine for reasonable prices. This time we had steak tartar (very tasty, allthough the serve nit...usual type of bread with it) and salad nicoise (bit strange as I was not able to find any potato and egg in it). Staff is ok, helpful and nice.More

We usually write positive reviews but our experience in laOlivia was so unpleasant and so far from the good reviews we read, we felt the need to write something. We arrived a large group, with 2 toddlers, for dinner celebration of a family member's birthday....We chose this place partly because of some reviews we read mentioned there was a large playroom for kids. We inquired a couple of times, and first told it's available, but after the entire family set down and started to order (around 8pm) were we informed that room is closed and can not be used. We tried to plead for some more time since the toddlers were very energetic, with no success. Every adult ordered their own food and drink, and the children shared a chicken dish. We also ordered 2 peaches of water. I mention this because while we waited for quite a while our food (children running around and all) we were interrupted by the waitress and told off that we are not allowed to bring food and drinks from the outside... HA??! That was SO RUDE! We shamefully looked around to find the perpetrator - there was a small empty bottle of mineral water brought by one of us and left on the table. Seriously?! Was it really necessary to ruin the entire group's evening for THAT? In a country filled with extra nice people, and some great dinning experiences, we never encountered such rude service. We contemplated getting up and leaving, but we were hungry and moving the entire group seemed too hard. At least we hoped that the food will be good, alas another disappointment. The food was mediocre with some dishes plain awful: The rib eye steak was rubbery and 50% uneatable, the tuna was gray and probably defrosted, and the chicken had a terrible aftertaste. When we complained we got a strange explanation that the chicken only eat corn which might give it a strange taste. Well whatever. We didn't even stay for desert. Thanks but no thanks.More

Had a great lunch here - the breads and grape oil were particularly nice - and the dining table in the play room was brilliant as it meant the kids were perfectly entertained. Excellent waiter service.

At the beginning, the style of restaurant seems like more specialized in coffee, tea, alcohol, etc. I didn't give too much confidence for their food. After we tasted the starter, the dishes, the desert, the drinks, they are very good! Surpassed a lot than what...we were waiting. Every dishe that we ordered is GOOD. We were satisfied by their food and service, the price is not so expensive. I will come back next time!More
