My wife and I went to Fat Boy August 2, 2016 based on other reviews. The service was very good. Victor was our waiter and attended to all of our needs, including a small sip of Kahlua and cream at the end of the meal. We had a shrimp cocktail, garlic fish filet, and shrimp diablo. Both were good and... More

We came upon this ocean side restaurant after a long day of walking from the Rui. This place is fantastic, open air and even had live music in the afternoon. I had never heard Aerosmith in acoustical with a Spanish accent before but it was great. Added to the atmosphere. Beer was cold and appetizers were delicious. I wanted to... More

Went here last week and the food was lovely tasty and fresh. Ordered the shrimp sharer platter and chicken and steak fajitas. It cost 85 pesos for the taxi from hotel Riu Vallarta. The location is beautiful it's right on the beach. To look at it from the front of the building it doesn't look very nice but the food... More

After walking through the market we needed a drink on a very hot afternoon. The Fat Boy seemed like the perfect location and our plan was to have a quick drink and then head back an hour or two later for food. We explained this to the waiter and he seemed quite annoyed that we were only ordering drinks. The... More

Its on the beach and right in the market where you can get souvenirs. Staff is great as is the food. Just about anything you want they have. The first salsa they brought out was a bit HOT so we asked for something a bit tamer. LOL

I have tried many dishes and all are good! The thing is that this is Mexico and the locals should not be paying more because that it is a tourist spot! The shrimp are great but there are many places that you will pay way less and get the same quality

We visited during 2012 and we were thankful the restaurant is still awesome in 2016! The seafood is fresh, plentiful and the priced well. Good tunes, great staff and a fun place to watch the sun go down and enjoy a margarita!
