On entry the place smelt of stale beer, the proprietor seemed brusque and the barmaid seemed uncomfortable. Trying not to judge a book by the cover we sat down. The menu seemed ok and the prices cheap. We ordered a pork roast dinner, Chili con carne and a ham sandwich. As we were waiting for our food the place started... More

It was our first visit to this very pleasant and friendly pub. To start I had pate and my husband soup, both excellent. We ordered Sunday Roasts, both beef, generous portions of meat, roast and mashed potatoes, fresh carrots, cabbage, cauliflower and delicious puffy Yorkshire puddings. Plates were hot and food was piping hot, a nice touch was the extra... More

I have visited many times with friends and family. The food is great and impeccable service. My partner loves the cherry beer. Child and dog friendly which is a bonus

The new Sunday Lunch was lovely, freshly cooked Beef, creamy mashed potato, homemade Yorkshire puds you can put a puddle of gravy in and lovely veg, a good size portion and great value, to top it off a lovely open fire for that cosy feel.

This was the one of the worst Sunday Lunches I've ever had, the bar was quite quiet but we waited for quite a while for food to be served. The Pork was dry &I appeared to have been in microwave My Husband & I had the roast beef it was tasteless dry all in the dinner was a great disappointment

Excellent pub. I love the fact that it's all shades of brown. All 50 of them if you get my drift ;) Lots of good times spent here with the boys.

I live in Halton, Cheshire. My trip to Huntington was for a week to help my sister get her garden under control. As I only drink Sam Smiths Extra Stout I googled where the nearest one was and it was the Six Bells and as it was a couple of miles away my sister did the honours after a hard... More
