Went to this pub for dinner and was very impressed. The beef was melt in the mouth and the huge dish of separate veggies were delicious with a great variety. Small and large portions available too.

We visited here twice while staying at Stamford Bridge as food was very good and good value. Service was very good too. Plenty to choose from on menu and good size portions....we had trouble eating it all!

Best place to go for traditional home cooked pub food at a great price with wonderful service. Never had a bad experience, food is always lovely and staff are great. Prices are very reasonable as the portion sizes are huge! Well worth a visit!

Superb pub here every day of the year. Over the years I have ate here and never had a bad meal. It's ideal if you like in York and just fancy a meal out after work.

Enjoyed an excellent dinner at this charming pub and the food was good and the staff extremely helpful. Sit outside on a summer's day and enjoy Theakston's ale, great food and a lovely quiet Yorkshire village.
