We visited today for the first time. Enjoyed a relaxed lunch with my mum on her birthday. The choice from the menu was varied and very reasonably priced. When the food came it was delicious. Kate was an excellent waitress. Highly recommended.

Good attentive service. Very varied menu. Chef patron. Modern English. I live quite nearby. Been many times. Mostly never disappoints. My friend from NYC was very impressed. And she's a vegan. With teeth braces. Praise indeed

We pre-booked a Saturday evening meal and were surprised at how busy they were - popularity being a sure sign of something good. The menu was imaginative and varied and came reasonably quickly considering how busy they were. My starter was black pudding with a...More

Went there on Sunday three weeks ago, had to book, the Carvery is very popular. Unpretentious but good quality food. Will certainly go again. Have been on other days and it is still a good place to eat at lunchtime. Some reckon it is a...More

I'm not sure if this is a CAMRA listed pub, but it usually has at least 3 beers on draught and Black Shhep & Copper Dragon seem to be frequent.

Hi, Yes, When we went we met up with some friend so there were four adults and six kids - 14 months to 10 years old! They had a little snug room at the back of the pub (right next to the carvery) and we were in there. It... More
