We came to The Stone Trough on Sunday after finishing a dog walk around Kirkham Priory and the surrounding area. The pub is very dog friendly, which was great. On a Sunday they offer their carvery (which looked delicious) and also their full menu which was a pleasant surprise. My sister and I had fish and chips which was great. The... More

We had a lovely lunch here on Christmas Day.. Tasty starters of crab and salmon and a butternut squash soup followed by Turkey, Ham and Pheasant. All really tender and lovely roasties and veg to accompany. If I had one gripe it would be that I would have loved to have some bread sauce and chipolatas to accompany. Very tasty... More

Booked a lunch for 4 based on good menu for meat and vegetarian options. Not been for a while but the welcome was very friendly and log fires added to the ambience at this time of year ! A good selection of local ales on tap with an excellent IPA from the Hadley/GYB brewery Partnership (yes, he of Spandau fame😀).... More

The Stone Trough's lunchtime menu is spectacular. I had a Sandwich packed with Salmon and two perfectly poached eggs, beautifully presented. It felt like a main course and, as always, the staff and surroundings were great. Thouroughly recommended.

The service is outstanding and we were made most welcome from our initial reservation telephone call until we left. We sat by roaring log fires for drinks which are brought to you and indulged in some pre- meal nibbles of honey glazed sausages and deep fried gherkins !!!! - delicious.( other nibbles are available) The menu is really good and... Called in after walking the circular route around Kirkham abbey. Had a wonderful meal , followed by home made sticky toffee pudding, delicious. Several cask ales on offer, blazing open fires and a wonderful atmosphere.
