Awesome food and a great atmosphere. Staff attentive. The young couple who run this restaurant are doing a wonderful job. We have returned to it many times and will continue to do so. Well done guys!

The food was excellent and suitably priced. Disappointing that they did not have many red wines available, being a vineyard restaurant. Great service and would recommend a visit here as just outside town.

We've been coming back here most years, for several years - and we always get consistently good dishes served up. Ok, the front of house staff turns over (as you'd expect in this location) and may lack some of the finer nuances you'd expect from a metro restaurant...but it's Turangi! So I'd recommend you give this gem a go -... More

On 30 December, my wife and I, along with another couple, visited this restaurant for a light luncheon - having enjoyed a visit a year or so earlier - oh, what a disappointment! When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full with some three groups of about six people sitting inside and out. The waitress arrived with a bottle... More

Made a booking for dinner in the last minute after reading reviews here. We are thankful that our booking was accepted. Pros: Nice setting in quiet location, indoor and outdoor seating, good food (pork belly and venison) Cons: I think there are capacity issues. The place was not full when we arrived. We ordered our main courses at 1845, and... More

Tucked away a short drive from Turangi lies one of the best dining experiences you're likely to have outside of New Zealand's main centres. Service is attentive, yet casual enough to feel truly welcoming. The food is exceptional - I'm constantly disappointed by small town NZ restaurants, but this one excels. Each course was generously sized and beautifully executed using... More

We stayed nearby and ate here on our second night, I consider myself a foodie and sometimes a harsh critic, but must say this was an exceptional meal and experience. Staff were friendly and attentive, portion sizes very generous and food was of a very high standard, fresh and full of flavour. My son had the pork belly and crackling,... More

I have been to this hidden gem in Turangi a number of times over the years whenever we visit family in Taumaranui. Each time I always expect that it isn't going to be as good as the last and so far we have always been happily disappointed. It's the most relaxing little hideaway to while away couple of hours over... More
