My first visit and very enjoyable. Well cooked and delicious hot food although food quite rich and not many low fat options. We had set deal of three courses. There were ten of us, so we were there quite a while and not rushed, but each course worth waiting for as all freshly cooked and generous portions. Would go back... More

Went here for a birthday lunch with friends and I think it was one of the nicest lunches out I've ever had. All 3 courses were so light and fresh tasting and all cooked perfectly .great friendly service. ..will definitely be back .

I had a wonderful meal recently, the tapas is delicious - so much choice on the menu. The staff are super friendly and the cocktails are amazing. The restaurant is great and spacious - you're not sat too close to other tables so you don't have to listen to other peoples conversations. The staff don't rush you either like in... More

Our first visit, with family and friend (five of us). Sunday lunch - every course was spot on, including the home made pesto that came with the bread. In terms of VFM, faultless. Would definitely go again and look forward to trying the tapas next time.

I don’t normally complain and I’m not food critic but the meal we had last Friday was really bad. I tried the Skate wing and although I normally like most fish I found this too mushy and the butter sauce was overpowering. I then tried a replacement chicken dish but found the chicken was only just cooked and was chewy... More

I like to come here as I'm vegan and they always do me a bespoke menu. Usually I give plenty of notice, this time I emailed on the day and they got back to me within the hour with a suggested menu. Food lovely, no rushing us out. Boyf ate off the menu and enjoyed his food too. Second time... More

We went to the Goose Fat & Garlic for my 40th birthday with family. It was the same party mentioned in reviews titled 'Slow' and 'Bored of Waiting'. Whilst the food was very nice and most definitely a step up from a pub Sunday roast the service was very slow. Yes some of the party were 5/10 minutes late and... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your lunch with us last Sunday. I am intrigued by it as it is a review of the same meal as Colin H (see previous review "slow" and reply. However your experience seems to be far worse and the details different. Firstly you were a group of 14. Not... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review relating to Mother's Day. Firstly may I say how surprised I was that it has taken you nearly 5 months to share your disappointment. I'm glad that you felt the menu was ok and a little surprised that you felt the price was a little steep. 3 courses for £28.50... More

Went with a group, family and friends for a 40th birthday lunch, food was cooked well although portions were small, but the service was extremely slow. We arrived at 2 and left at 5-30 which I think is excessive for a 3 course Sunday lunch

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am a little surprised to receive a 'poor' rating with the heading 'slow'. Your group was booked as a party of 12 for 2pm arrival. Half of the group arrived at 2pm but the rest arrived over the following 20 minutes. On arrival we were also informed that there... More
