The Irish dancing and singing at the end of the evening was amazing! But the band before them was a little dry and boring. They do the best they can to serve everyone's food quickly, but it's a small space with a lot of people packed in. So we did wait in-between courses and it took quite a while to... More

This is an old favourite, you will want to go back once you've tried it! Can't beat their wild mussels and seafood chowder, great food in a beautiful location, worth the trip!

Visited on a cold and wet March evening during Hooley night. Barman extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delightful with the seafood chowder and the Irish Lamb Stew both incredibly tasty and excellent value for money. The very energetic Hooley dancers capped off a very enjoyable evening

Having been to Fitzpatricks in Lordship (outside Carlingford) I was disapointed, Johnnie Foxes was alittle tired looking, an very dusty, food was ok if you like fish, little other choice, The home made brown bread was lovely.

Finally visited Johnnie foxes pub today at 14:30, after years of saying I must go and after reading a report in the Irish independent recently regarding a loss in profits. But I was a bit disappointed to be honest and not surprised it has suffered. The starters were only average, main meals were delish I must admit, kiddies bolognaise was... More

It was very packed when we arrived and we were not going to stay for food as thought waiting time would be too long. We found a large room at the back with lots of seating and live music. We were seated quickly and our drinks order taken immediately. We did not have to wait long for food or drinks.... More

Stopped in here on the way home. There was so kind of adventure race or something on in the area and they were incredibly busy. However we were quickly seated. The service was very quick. The mussels are delicious. Also had salmon which was mouth watering. Boyfriend had the chicken. Highly recommend a visit. Excellent staff & no waiting around.

We were visiting Ireland and were told we had to come here. It's such an amazing pub with so much history. Took us at least 30min to look around all the interesting things dotted around. Also tried Guinness for the first time and it was it was lovely. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Worth a visit.
