We were staying in island hotel and went out for a quick lunch. It was recommended to us. It has about 10 tables designed in a Greek style. It looks over the quiet road in to town. Menus well priced and waiter very helpful in discussing options. The fish was excellent and everybody agreed quality of there meal was to... More

A lovely restaurant with a really nice owner, we are here at lunch time and I had stifado and my wife just a few starter dishes, all the food was fantastic, more expensive than some of the other taverna's near by but you can see that it's worth the extra money when you visit

We go to Gouves each year (not last year 2015) and first place we go is the Medusa. It really does get better and better each year. Staff are polite, the food is incredible and the wine is good too. Medusa sells the best Kleftiko in crete (you need to give 24hrs notice) Can't wait to go back next year.... More

We tried this place based on the trip advisor reviews #1 restaurant in the Gouves area. I think you have to be careful what you order, I had mousakka which was disappointing but to be fair the seafood looked very good.

Great food, great staff, lovely wine and reasonable prices. Recommend booking a table as always busy especially weekends.

Amazing food, great customer service and all round exceptional visit. The owner filleted our sea bass at the table in front of us and it was vey impressive. Food quality was exceptional and would definitely recommend the mixed grill also

We ate seafood linguine, tuna salad, and feta saganaki. They were all very good, but including drinks the bill was higher than expected and compared to other places we've eaten.

The owner of the restaurant is very kind and offers great advice regarding the food he serves. All that we have eaten in this tavern was great. I highly recommend it.

Definitely worth a more than one visit, the feta saganaki and the cuttlefish were delicious as was the recommended bottle if white wine. If this restaurant was in a more picturesque location you would expect to pay considerably more for the standard of food. We ate there twice in spite of being half board.
