My partner and I come here often. Last week we had one of the best meals to date. My partner started with the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. Then had chicken stuffed with sun blushed tomato and mozzarella mousse (on the specials menu that day) which was equally as flavoursome. I (being veggie) had the Camembert tart to start,... More

we went with friends over the Bank Holiday so the restaurant was busy. We had 2 courses as the portions are quite large. Delicious Camembert tart to start. I had hake which was cooked perfectly. My husband had fish and chips with nice, crispy batter. The food took a long time to come but that didn't matter. Very friendly waiters... More

We booked a table for 4 people upstairs in the restaurant . A busy Good Friday evening and a little chaotic. However we were relaxed and sat down at our table. The young waitress was very friendly and had a pleasant manner. We ordered our drinks which came in a timely manner. We placed our order for food. Our starters... More

Service a little slow but worth it for the Great food, good presentation and of course location - well worth the trip down the little lanes. Liked the Gin and Whisky menus too!

Came here just under a year ago and everything was fantastic. I wonder what has happened. Service was very slow and not at all attentive. The one staff member who bought the drinks literally threw them on the table. Did the same to the table behind us and spilled his pint. We asked for a jug of water which was... More

Used to be regular customers, however of late the menu has less choice, and not as good as on previous occasions. Will not be visiting again.

Very nice selection of food and we enjoyed three courses, starter of Abroath Smokie croquettes which were delicious, and main course of fish - which features widely at restaurants in the area. Both of us commented on the lovely but massive flakes on the cod fillets which wer beautifully cooked and set on top of linguine and a cream sauce.... More

I took my wife here for lunch as it was her first time. I visited here many years ago and then, it lived up to its reputation. This time, in spite of being very quiet, the food arrived 40 minutes after ordering and we did not order anything particularly complicated. The waitress was pleasant enough but after showing us to... We've been here steadily over the years and it is still good. Great service and great food, especially the fish / seafood choices. They also have good non alcoholic beer here, my favourite being Erdinger, not like that horrible Becks Blue stuff! Prices are reasonable too. 3 course dinner for four, with wine and other drinks was £144. Booking recommended... More
