Very pleased with our lunch. Value for money very good. Sea Bass for my wife. Whole and very good size. Pork fillet for me. Again very well cooked and presented. Good range of beers available. Pub could do with a proof reader to correct the spelling errors. Found a number in all of menus and gin and whisky listings.

On my way by motorbike from Newcastle to Edinburgh I stopped in Dunbar at The Creel Inn. The rain was pooring, so I made quite an appearance. Expecting mothing more than a pub, it felt ok. The kind waitress was patient with me and advised me on the menu. What I was presented was close to Michellin star quality. I... More

Travelled from Aberdeen with friends for a meal. Always like to try different places to eat. Service was ok but not spectacular. Had to ask for a jug of water rather than be offered. Food was nice but not outstanding. The shared platter starter was very nice but for £14.95 was extremely meagre. The fish gougons were distinctly average. The... More

Taking a last minute decision to pop into Catterline on our way north, we were very happy with hat we did. A beautiful evening of spring sunshine was made better with a couple of courses of perfect dining at the Creel Inn. Scallops with Stornaway Black Pudding, followed by Venison for me, Gressingham duck for my daughter and haddock and... More

The Creel Inn is a very nice place, both the location and the restaurant itself. We had heard mych about this fish restaurant so we were looking forward to a good experience. But we were dissapointed. Two of us were having plaice with new potatoes and watercress, And this dish was a disaster. The fish was raw and the taste... More

My partner and I come here often. Last week we had one of the best meals to date. My partner started with the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. Then had chicken stuffed with sun blushed tomato and mozzarella mousse (on the specials menu that day) which was equally as flavoursome. I (being veggie) had the Camembert tart to start,... More

we went with friends over the Bank Holiday so the restaurant was busy. We had 2 courses as the portions are quite large. Delicious Camembert tart to start. I had hake which was cooked perfectly. My husband had fish and chips with nice, crispy batter. The food took a long time to come but that didn't matter. Very friendly waiters... More

We booked a table for 4 people upstairs in the restaurant . A busy Good Friday evening and a little chaotic. However we were relaxed and sat down at our table. The young waitress was very friendly and had a pleasant manner. We ordered our drinks which came in a timely manner. We placed our order for food. Our starters... More
