Very nice service, super nice playground and nice location in general. The food is upper canteen level, not the best but not the worst.

Wonderfull atmosphere and good food. Service was excellent and the people were extremely friendly. Had a great time.
Nice pirat boat to play in the sand. Very good fish and chips, bread carpaccio and very tasty pancakes. Fun icecream for kids with surprise.
The food is okay, no complain about that. We were before it went busy, but even then we wait more then 1,5 hour (almost 2) for we get our food. On a summer day where the weather is better it is even then a long...wait. Even if you want some drinks you need to wave a lot before someone is coming to your table. If I go back no! The food wasn't so great to wait that long!More
Had a dinner with 6 on a Saturday evening, we sat outdoor in the patio, we could warm ourselves with blankets and terrace heaters (blankets weren't even necessary). Al thought it was only 5-6 degrees outside it was nice and comfortable inside. We were early...and gradually it went a bit busier. The menu is quite extensive and in both the menu and the restaurant itself there is special attention for kids. A indoor and outdoor playground where they can freely roam. We ordered soups as starters and decided (it was asked) to serve the kids meals with the mains. The soup of the day was wild mushroom soup other soup we took was the onion soup. Although quite tasty it was very salty. So much i got a headache the other morning cause of that. Obviously we told the kitchen and the took this up very well. Mains were the special fo the day (beef pieces in sauce served in a hot skillet), tuna steak salad, German Schnitzel with pepper sauce and turkey satay. All (but the salad) accompanied with fries. Children menu was a pancake and fries with a kids schnitzel. Portion size was decent and good enough. Food was tasty and well prepared. The desserts consists of ice cream for the kids and frozen yogurt and a chocolate truffle as others. All served with whipped cream and a toy for the kids. We had a very good stay and enjoyed the dinner, pricing was good service is good and quality also good. Reason i give the three stars is because of the saltiness of the food.More
We only stopped for a coffee at 11:15 a.m. but were offered the lunch menu. Then we waited a good while. Without consulting the menu we ordered coffee. OK. Amenities basic. All a bit spoilt by tourists seemingly.
Very nice and cozy restaurant with great staff and very big choices of good quality food. Big salads with see food and very nice toon fish steak (only place with toon steak at this area). Also delicious wine and home made sangria.
Even though there were no vegan options and only one vegetarian option, the vegetarian option was veganised for me. The personnel is friendly, the atmosphere is charming and relaxed and it is child-friendly with a playground for the smaller children. The children's menus come with...a special surprise which is popular.More
Over a hundred different toppings for pancakes and beside that you can create your own! If you're not interested in pancakes, there's more on the menu. Fish and meat dishes, vegetarian as well! Restaurant is great for families with children, decorated with all kinds of...fairytale characters and images. Food is FANTASTIC and the staff is very friendly and helpful.More
I visit very dear friends in Vrouwenpolder every year. Have done so for 6 years now and every year we go for a meal in de Heksenketel. Our little grandson, aged 6, has been coming since he was 3 months old and loves the ambience....The pancakes are lush and the service is brilliant. I will be there again in August 2014More
