We took shelter here from a rain shower and had a nice, cozy meal on the covered patio. The service was prompt and friendly, our dog was welcome, and the food was crisp and fresh! I had a mixed green salad with fresh bread and a tasty beer and it was a perfect mid-afternoon filler. Had it not been such... More

In general, "De Cocksdorp" is a very small and sleepy village. There is one "shoppingstreet". We didn't see many shops. A few restaurants... We actually had passed trough before we realized that was the main street of the place. We stopped at 't Bikkelement because it was open and we were hungry... And that is about the only reason why... One of my top choices when I visit de Cocksdorp, 'T Bikkelement is a great restaurant, serving honest to goodness food and is excellent value for money. All main meals come with chips (fries), a side salad and two cinnamon poached pears. For a real treat, go for the all you can eat spare ribs. Sticky and delicious! I also... More

We cycled here from our bungalow at Prins Hendrik and found a very pleasant lunch spot. Great Dutch applepie, tosties, broodje kroket and very friendly staff!

We decided to go here on our last night, we had read the trip advisor reviews that said it had a good choice and was reasonably priced. Again we came unstuck due to our lack of understanding of the Dutch language, therefore we went for the lamb as it was the only thing we knew for sure. I'm sure the... More

Simple but tasty food. Spareribs, steak, wiener schnitzel. Not interesting for vegetarians. Fast and friendly service. Just one gripe: 2 small icecreams for the kids ("schatkist") cost EUR 7.20. That is ridiculous.

The food here was simple local cuisine, nothing fancy, but then there were other fancy places in the village if this is more your style. There seemed to be something for everyone on the menu and they did manage to cater for my gluten free diet, although this meant they had to leave off some of the parts of the dish... More

I took the name of this restaurant from Tripadvisor after reading positive reviews on the internet. It was a very pleasant surprise to be there. First of all service was 10 out 10. A very young man put a lot of diligence in making our evening and dinner pleasant. And he managed! We served meat, respectively fish. Everything very delicious,... More
