We stayed over the weekend having booked a night in the hotel and dinner in de vrienden van Jakob. The hotel was nice. We stayed in the new part of the hotel which has a standard feel to it. Probably next time we would upgrade to stay in the main house. The room was clean and well kept en we... More

We were there for a wedding and stayed two nights - maybe 100 or so of us from Dubai, Europe, and the States. The accommodations and ambience were outstanding. The huge back lawn of this palatial hotel was a perfect place for a reception and the interior dining rooms and basement party rooms were just right for this partying crowd.... More

Imagine: amid a large and charming park is a hundred year old castle-like building situated with a huge size and a great number of hotel rooms. There are several places inside and outside where you can eat. During a conference, I sat at several tables at different times ...... and each time the food was of a decent to high... More

We were there with a party of 4 whom all know what good food is and have all eaten more than once in a Michelin Star restaurant. We had a 6 course dinner with a different wine for each meal. The chef himself served the first appetizer and it was the start of a great evening with very good food... More

We ate in the michelin restaurant on our first night at the hotel. The service was very good and the evening enjoyable. But I have eaten better at a michelin restaurant in Rotterdam a few years ago and the experience made me realise how far Spain, the UK and Denmark have come in the last decade in the culinary stakes.... If you'd like to have a romantic room with a nice view - be sure that your room is located in the old building. Otherwise you'll be put in the catacombs, and your window will open to an underground terrace. Some people may like this Teletubbies feeling - but you surely long for something else on a romantic honeymoon... The... More

Went back to an old haunt after a few years away and wasn't disappointed. Still has that mini-stately home feel and nothing much has changed in style. Restaurant was good but amuses we're the highlight. Nothing to criticise but we just didn't get a wow, which was a pity. Table was out in the glazed in part but, since it... More

A beautiful hotel with a mixture of old and new which seems to work perfectly well together. Ate in the brasserie and had the rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection followed by an extremely light strawberry mouse, an excellent finish to a meal. The surroundings in the brasserie is relaxed with chilled out music, not so loud that... More
