Our guesthouse recommended we visit this restaurant for dinner and we almost regretted walking there in the hot evening but were really surprised when we arrived to this bustling temple to honest food. Families everywhere and a playground full of children playing while their parents ate and drank. Galician traditional musicians in another part of the restaurant. It was very... More

Decided to surprise my friends with a special meal but ended up surprising myself! For starters we ordered tomato salad and tortilla! They were simply brilliant with fresh vegetables from their own garden! We then order churrasco (barbecue) pork and beef ribs that were incredible! Cant remember what else we had, but everything was simply delicious and service was quick... More

Judging by how busy the restaurant was when we visited, they do not need any more great reviews, but I feel I have to write something. This is just a very special place. You will know from previous reviews that it is set in delightful woodland in the middle of nowhere. We cycled here and we knew we were on... More

Well there is nothing really to say: Absolutely marvellous... The food, the place, the environment, the people, etc… As you enter in the main restaurant hall the bucolic earthy environment sets in and you rapidly get in the mood for a great meal. The attention to detail in every aspect of the restaurant only emphasizes the high quality of the... More

A Galician friend of mine wanted to show me this place since ever. He loves meat dishes and I have to tell damn that was good! The meat dish "Croca de Buei" (spanish) or 'Croca de Boi' in galician was just perfect! This dish gives you the possibility to cook your own raw meat directly where you are seated. Meaning... More

A perfect place to go in a sunny day, is very rustic as you eat in wood tables. The "churrasco" (ribs) is a very typical dish in Galicia and here you can try it for around 7€ per person. The desserts are also quite good, the bread is of a specific type made with a mix of corn and wheat.... More

Wow! Finally an exciting menu in Galicia and such amazing value. The mixed vegetable tempura is highly recommended as are the soups and the homemade wine served in a bowl. Can't wait to return, must be the perfect place at night for a quemada ceremony. Fantastic service too....thanks for making our Colombia - UK reunion so special.

Ate here with 8 other members of my family, it's a really down-home kind of deal which we found really appealing, you just plonk yourself down on long benches and tuck in to barbecued pork ribs and great steaks, grilled octopus, rough local wine without too much of a kick to it, all in a great atmosphere with loads of... The best pulpo a la gallega I had in Galicia, they have community tables that make you feel like in medieval times. It's kind of far from Santiago but it's worth the trip just to taste their amazing tapas!

Located on the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela, this is a very comfortable restaurant for eating home-made food. The place is big with several truly impressive wood sculptures and the owner, who is a poet has decorated the walls with his own poems. It also has a children zone with swing and a big car park.
