Pedro has created a little paradise in the town of Famara. There is nothing like El Risco. A true 5 star restaurant throughout the entire stay. Great welcoming service, only local products - very fresh. The menu can vary due to availability from the day’s...catch. Gambas ‘La Santa’ and Roba Vieja is highly recommended as starters and then don’t forget to ask for the days special... 1 bottle of Wine, 1 water, 2 starters, 2 main and dessert is about €100 for 2 persons, but absolutely worth every penny. To be guaranteed your best meal in Famara, book your table in advance as it is always fully booked.More

From our last year experience, we booked this times and enjoyed a nice view on the sea. The food was excellent. We took a classical entrée – main course and very satisfied but we observed that many (local) quests take several small plates just to...taste more different meals. We will for sure follow this example when back again. The food was excellent as the service and it is indeed the top place in the region.More

Firstly, I live here and have been to El Risco many times and I am fussy and I do like good , fresh food. Last Sunday Four of us went at lunch time and sat under a large parasol on the terrace. We had fresh...Tuna Tataki which was so so good. A baby grilled fresh squid salad with a lime and olive oil asian dressing, stunning.!!! Main course... A beautiful whole, line caught fresh Grilled Mero or Grooper , perfectly cooked, which is an art as fresh fish can so easily be overcooked!! Desert... home made ice cream and fresh strawberries. Wine.. a couple of bottles of one of the best Lanzarote dry whites " Bodega Bermejo " Amazing meal in every way, and that is saying something as Im very very hard to please. Id say the best place to eat fish in Lanza easily.More

If you like to eat fresh fish in a relaxed setting on vacation then this restaurant fits the bill. Previous reports describe poor service but that was not our experience; relaxed and friendly , I'd say. The starters are generous, large enough to share between...two unless you're very hungry. The main courses, mainly fish, are cooked with respect to the quality of the ingredients. Dancing fresh tuna seared rare, traditional fish stew with plenty of fish. The squid is tender. The specials change all the time depending on availability at the market. Recipes simple- no smears or tweezer food. Good wine list. Fair prices. This restaurant justifies its notation in the Michelin. It's not starred, doesn't need to be and doesn't need to try for that. It's about eating fish. Need to book despite being away from the resorts.More

Food, we really enjoyed it: sardines, octopus or the local Atlantic wreckfish were delish but the whole meal was kind of ruined by a poor service - not being rude (not at that point) but being of "no service".

I am Spaniard, and this kind of place is the reason why many times foreigners go back home with the feeling that spanish cooking is just not a big thing. We had a calamar, just normal and the portion rather small, mixed fried fish nicely...presented and ok for quality of the fish, but there were more head and fishbones than anything else, and gambas worth 20€ that were meant to be fresh, and either they were not (they looked unfrozen) or they were extremely overcooked, however totally dry and tasteless, the portion was super small and the prawns the size of half a small pinky finger. The service was good though and the wine recommendation good as well. The views are meant to be nice in daytime, we were at night. Overall, not too bad, but I would not recommend it.More

We came upon this gem by chance, not having booked we couldn't have a table with a view but that disappointment soon disappeared. The service, food and atmosphere were beyond our expectations - and certainly belies the look of the restaurant from outside and the...location. Very interesting and varied menu celebrating fresh ingredients - excellent fish. We were 4 adults and had starters, mains, desserts, beer, lanzarote wine and coffee - we couldn't fault any of it! Not cheap but certainly not overpriced either, we thought it was excellent value for money. Our 6th visit to lanzarote and we have visited many restaurants all over the island, this was definitely one of the best.More

On my second trip to Lanzarote, this is the best meal I’ve had on the island. We were out for a family meal of starters, main, deserts and wine and it was all estupendamente! Lovely setting and beautifully designed interior. Staff were friendly, multi-lingual and...knowledgeable. Reasonably priced given the excellent food! Recommend the vino tinto de la casa too. Well worth a visit to Caleta de Famara 👌🏻More

We found this restaurant by chance and had a fantastic lunch, so good trying to find time to go again before we leave. We only had main dishes, mussels and clam in white wine and grouper. Both dishes were delicious, the grouper was beautifully cooked....Service was excellent and staff friendly If you are in Famara make sure you eat here.More

Deliciously relaxed setting, food, staff and owner! Varied menu, baby goat was amazing though I have noticed sauces on the island seem to be challenging for the chefs here; this was a bit gloopy and lacked seasoning. Sat at the back, so no view, but...we hadn't booked and were lucky to get a table..More

We've only eaten at lunchtime so cannot answer. The location with the waves lapping is all the entertainment I'd need at this lovely restaurant.
