Don’t get me wrong this is a decent restaurant but somehow felt a little cheap and fake given the price bracket. It felt as if this was previously a bad hotel pool area that has had a veneer of “style” applied to try to make a high end restaurant. The prices are high (€100 for steak for two) and at this price bracket I felt we could have had a more upmarket meal at a more established and genuine place. Despite my feelings, the service was good and very friendly. Only minor complaints like reusing the cutlery for starter / main and no complimentary bread. The food was also very decent with the eggplant starter, hake main and French toast desert a highlight out of the dishes we tried. The view of the sunset was great and the DJ played some chilled tunes at a good volume to not disturb conversations. Good but perhaps if the pricing was a touch lower would have rated higher.

Restaurant in a good location, with sea view, easily accessible by car, in the central area of Sant'Antoni de Portmany. We were there for dinner, but I think it is also suitable for lunch and at sunset to enjoy the view. Good catering and wine list, ordered a bottle of Spanish cava cava 2019 reserve, very good and with excellent value for money. Some appetizers on the menu, the tuna tataky is good, the guacamole is a little sour, then the courgette salad with baked feta is quite good. For main courses, very good crispy breaded Crisby chicken, and sliced Angus steak for two people, a little expensive but good, for side dishes, fried potatoes. For dessert, very good anasas flambé with ice cream, which I recommend for a good end to dinner. Prices above average but relative to the location and fairly fine room with swimming pool and DJ set. For service, unfortunately there were few waiters and the waiting times were quite long, with at least an hour of waiting for seconds. In general I recommend it for location and atmosphere.

We had drinks and dinner with friends on the outdoor terrace of this new venue in San Antonio and we were blast by the scenery of the place. Not the San Antonio you’d expect. Certainly Monkey actively contributes to the upscaling of the SA dinning and partying scene. New deco, in the soft natural Ibiza style, new chef providing for excellent food and the public is really far from the “West End” typical clientele. Try it for yourself I can only recommend

The restaurant is in a lovely area and is aesthetically pleasing. However, the waitresses weren’t overly welcoming and the mood seemed very low. We almost didn’t feel welcome there. The food is very overpriced for the level of quality. To start we had the pitta and dips which was ok. Then for a main, we had the ribs with avocado and broccoli. The ribs were nice but nothing special, the broccoli was fried to complete charcoal with some sort of seasoning on it and the avocado was burnt and disgusting. The meal with 4 cokes came to €151 which in my opinion is far too much. When asked how our meal was, we expressed that we weren’t particularly pleased in a polite manner and were left with silence. The whole vibe of this restaurant was very odd. I would not return.

We met for dinner at Monkeys and hoped to have a nice evening here. The drinks are delicious, but the food fell far short of expectations. The squid was tough and was served with carelessly burnt side dishes (39€). The tuna tataki was overwhelmed by the marinade. The feta was not crispy and was served with carelessly and not really preserved raw zucchini as a side dish.
I would recommend coming for a sunset drink.

Rather than eat at Cafe del mar or one of the other average sunset places we thought we’d go round the corner to Monkey and so pleased we did.
Although service was a little slow at times, the food was superb.
We had a mix of lamb, steak and sea bass dishes among our party and all of them were excellent.
Grilled pineapple for dessert also an absolute winner!
Well cooked, well presented, amazing taste.
Very good and well done to the guys who pull this place together.

Really disappointing experience having read the reviews.
Food was very poor - crispy chicken was incredibly dry and for €29, chicken selects from McDonald’s are far tastier!
DJ music was energy zapping and dragged the mood down.
We thought, as part of having dinner, that we’d be able to enter the party room - not the case, so if you want to go there book separately.
Overall, overpriced and poor vibe.
Location is lovely though so that’s what gets my 1 star.

What a shame: the beautiful location did not live up to the reviews. The service staff was arrogant and ignored us for the most part after having served one drink. After that we tried to order more but no one cared to stop even though the restaurant was not even close to full and plenty of servers walked by. The bill took very long as well and the price charged was incorrect. Will not be coming back. There are other bars with better service in the area.

I discovered this place by accident but will definitely visit again.
My wife and I really had a great time, the food was excellent and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend the Crispy feta, which is exactly the type of food you want to have in Ibiza sitting next to the beach.

Location for sunset is lovely … however … service was mediocre. Not very attentive.
… but the food …. Overpriced, minimal choice … and not the best quality … crispy chicken … wow … avoid if you respect your teeth … dry as anything.
No DJ … only background music which wasn’t at all upbeat …
Toilets not up to standard.
And don’t presume you can access the entertainment room even if have a table .. you can’t !!!

What a stunning restaurant and staff.
We came to Monkey for my 40th birthday celebrations and were not disappointed. The setting is stunning and sat on the terrace we got to watch the sunset as we had dinner…, beautiful.
We were served by Lena and she was absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much to ask and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you Lena!
There were four of us. One was vegan and Lena provided the allergy menu so my friend knew what she could pick which didn’t contain animal products. One of my friends had the crispy chicken and said it was amazing. My sister and I shared the tomahawk (although we couldn’t manage it all) with fries and burnt broccoli, delicious and cooked just how we asked.
We were all too full to sample deserts but the cocktails were wonderful. Some very unique drinks on there with flower garnet. If I come back to Ibiza I will most definitely visit monkey again!
I want to add that we loved the chilled house music and pool vibes!

A bad experience being also our anniversary. We booked 17 days in advance and warned of the special occasion... result: the worst table in the restaurant above lame, and with a riveting heat overlooking a wardrobe. The waitress didn’t know Spanish: I asked about the manager and he told me if he wanted the letter and that he didn’t understand. They moved us from table to table something better, we went to order and just what we wanted was the octopus, and it was over (at 10 o’clock at night...?). The letter is not that it is scarce, it is that it is scarce and lousy. The ceviche is more like onions and hides a piece of ceviche. Crispy chicken is a piece of KFC and even this one is richer. The price tag for what it is. They only serve you well if you're French or Italian. A regrettable experience, a place not recommended and of course less if you are Spanish. Nice place but with an embarrassing menu to say the least.
We chose the roasted octopus... it arrived completely burnt and impossible to eat.
The bill was really exaggerated compared to the quality and quantity of the dishes.
€50 each for an octopus tentacle, half a portion of chips and a glass of wine!

We recently visited Monkey Restaurant and, unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. While the place itself is nice and the staff are kind, the food left much to be desired.
I had the worst octopus I’ve ever tasted, and the side dish we ordered arrived at the table cold. This lack of quality and attention to detail was quite disappointing. Additionally, we overheard a couple at the next table also complaining about the food, which suggests our experience wasn't an isolated incident.
Due to the poor quality of the food, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Despite the pleasant ambiance and friendly staff, the culinary experience was a letdown.

The place is very nice and very well set. However cocktails are expensive and the menu is short and extremely expensive. The intention was to have dinner but given this we decided to just watch the sunset (much quieter than in Café Mambo and Café del Mar) with a couple of cocktails. With the large number of waitresses out there, we only came across one who spoke it barely.
