This restaurant is not cheap but the food is excellent and the service is equally impressive. We celebrated a birthday in the restaurant and the staff not only brought out the cake, and served it but they joined in the singing of happy birthday and...clapping. Highly recommended.More

Absolutely horrible. NOT SERIOUS AT ALL AND THE FOOD IS MEDIOCRE AT BEST. I don't understand why it is always full, if I could give 0 stars I would. My wife is lactose intolerant, and could have ended up in hospital. The waiter was informed...of her intolerance, in addition she ordered a dish from the menu that was not marked as containing lactose. Her meal arrived with a sauce which when we asked the head waiter he said it had mayonnaise only to come back and say no no sorry it contains milk and removed it from her plate. The vegetables had a buttery taste, so I got up and asked the lady at the counter and she said they are boiled and sometimes the chef adds butter, so I said please check and explained once more why and she came back from the kitchen to say it contained butter. She followed me to the table to explain this to my wife and my wife refused to eat anything else, which seemed to offend the lady. She then came back after to make excuses and say that my wife's dish did not have butter in the vegetables but someone else from another table who ordered the same dish got the vegetables with butter. When even I tasted the vegetables and they clearly had a buttery taste. This is even more unacceptable as my wife could have been seriously ill because of this. No apology from the staff, just making up excuses/llying, no discount, nothing at all. We were treated like tourists that would never come back, only we live her all year round. ALL IN ALL HORRIBLE SERVICE, MEDIOCRE FOOD AT BEST, AND STAFF THAT CLEARLY DOESNT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS' WELLBEING. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.More

I have just returned home from a delicious meal with my wife and 20 month old daughter at da brunos. I've never left a review for a meal out before but felt compelled to based on the service we received tonight. The food was delicious...but the service we received tonight was second to none. I believe our main waiter was named joey. He, as well as every other member of the service team were complete professionals and were so welcoming, especiallly towards our young daughter. She had a lovely evening and it's rare to sit down for a 3 course meal with a 20 month old without any tantrums but the team at da brunos made it so. If you have young children but still want to go out for a lovely meal with delicious food, this os the place. Thanks for a lovely evening. We will be back the next time we are in town and won't hesitate to recommend.More

Have ate here on numerous occasions. This week our first trip was faultless, unfortunately not the 2nd time. We accepted the waiters recommendations. Starters was perfect. Waited a long time, maybe 30 mins for Main Course. All Food was dried out and tasteless. Didn't have...our normal chocolate desserts. Just got a shrugged shoulder when we complained.. Dont think we will return. A very disappointing meal..More

Lovely restaurant, great food and service. Staff were wonderful- clearly a well oiled machine. Only criticism is it could do with a touch of modernising in the marquee ie tablecloths / lighting etx but don’t let this put you off - it’s the same as...it has always been year in year out- a wonderful authentic Italian restaurantMore

On our last day in Marbella we decided to visit San Pedro again and just stroll around in the sun and enjoy this lovely little town. After an excellent meal at G Wine the night before qe decided to try Da Bruno’s before the lunch...rush. Got a nice table in the sun and really enjoyed the food and excellent service This topped off with a delicious Irish Coffee.More

We made a reservation for 2 in the afternoon for the same evening (personally, not on the phone). We were basically not really attended, as there were many people at this moment. But we waited to be attended, because we knew the restaurant from years...before and wanted to go there, nevertheless. When we came for dinner, the confirmed table for us (the one inside the terrace, not on the street) was not available for us. One waitress was saying "that everything was fully booked when we made the reservation before." But she mentioned we could take the table on the street. This was strange, because the Maitre gave us table 61 (inside) at time of reservation.... This situation did not gave us a very welcome feeling in the beginning. We took the other table, who had a paper on it: "Reserved for 7 persons" (?? it was a table for 2). The waitress looked like overstrained, as she took the reservation notice away. The restaurant was quite booked and people came in frequently. At least we had some kind of luck: Maximilian attended us with a big smile. He was the only person who served us attentively and gave us at least a good feeling again. My husband ordered the Salmon from the grill, myself had Mussels a la Marinera. He drank 2 Warsteiner 0.0 and 1 San Miguel beer, myself 1 Glass Red Wine and a bottle of water. The Salmon would usually come with some sort of potatoes (smashed, sliced in the oven or pommes frites), but as ALL of the potatoes had onions within and he doesnt like onions at all, we ordered the salmon only with vegetables. My mussels came in the usual way, but with a lot of onions too in the sauce (luckily myself has no problem with onions). For ppl with some sort of allergies it would be better if onions would be mentioned in the menu as ingredients The salmon came with 3 slices, it was good, my mussels were OK. We probably would have stayed longer, but since we had this no-good-feeling-atmosphere, there was no desire to stay there for dessert. After 40 minutes we left the restaurant - and only Maximilian waved goodbye :) All in all I must say that we were not as happy as we remembered to be at Da Bruno; watching the Maitre how rude he treated the other clients (like he did with us)... Sure, Da Bruno is mostly fully booked - so why should he take care of one of us?More

We have been at several Da Bruno locations in the Marbella area: all serve excellent food and nice wines. Price level is reasonable. The San Pedro location serves great quality food, but it has a dated decor and the service staff is professional but not...overly friendly. But you will always have a good meal at Da Bruno's.More
