It was well worth the 20 minute drive to Matoshinos. Miraculous food! We were looking for a restaurant to have fish for lunch and we decided to try this restaurant and we didn't regret it at all. Excellent grilled salmon and mackerel with stewed vegetables. Agree with other reviews that the staff could be a bit more...client focused, meaning friendlier. Definitely recommended for food.More
We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of our Airbnb host who said that it is one of her favorite seafood restaurants around Porto. We are American and went together as a family. Based on reviews and the recommendation, we were very excited about...the authentic Portuguese seafood experience. However, upon arriving the staff seemed rather off-put, almost uncomfortable with our presence. Although we would ask questions about the menu, we received very little guidance, and our waiter seemed extremely frustrated with us the entire time. The food was quite good; however, unfortunately, the service bordered on rude. I would still recommend this as a choice to experience authentic Portuguese seafood, although the culture of the restaurant did not feel especially kind toward tourists. If I had one word of advice to the restaurant: know your customer. We obviously don’t expect VIP treatment, but we are new to your culture and trying to learn - any kindness and guidance in learning the menu and customs is always appreciated.More

We were lucky to get a table at this charming atmospheric restaurant. Generous serves of delicious char-grilled calamari and swordfish that came with roast potatoes and mixed vegetables. And they have white sangria. Friendly and efficient service.
Very good food, the fish are fresh and made in the charcoal what gives a special flavour to the dish, the side dishes are ok, but as the fishes are so well made, is definitely a must visit in Porto.
We had dinner here during out stay in Porto. The fish was excellent. They show you the fish before they cook it to check you happy. The fish comes with potatoes and cabbage. We had a starters with shrimps that was so tasty, and our main course was a fish they grilled perfectly. The reason why it only gets four stars is they came with the wrong wine, forgot to put water glass on the table and forgot...to bring us a beer.More

This restaurant is about 20 minutes or so by taxi from downtown Porto but really worth a visit. It is a street full of fishmongers so the seafood is likely to be good. I turned up at 1140 on a Saturday and was told I...could not reserve a table for 1200 opening. I turned up at 1200 and discovered that most the tables were reserved !
