Very good fresh homemade food with great service and menu options. Chocolate mousse is homemade and the best!

We went here for dinner with family, about 7 of us. They were extremely accommodating during the booking and appreciated we called to book. As it was a few of us, we ended up ordering a few different dishes, I had the Pepper Fillet and...More
Excellent and tasty food. Clean place, run only by ladies. Place is small but cousy. We had perfect dinner with best quality for reasonable price. We have tryed 5 places in Madeira already and this one was the best.
A lovely cozy traditional restaurant in Prazeres with a wood burning fire which we enjoyed dinner at twice. I'm vegetarian and Chicos were more than happy to adapt their menu so that I had two different dishes. The chef and owners went out of their...More
We loved this cute little place so much we went back for a second visit. Local traditional dishes were the best such as their garlic bread, espatada and the black scabbard with banana. Everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.
Freshly made poncho and a delicacy called Chico Balls which are made to a secret recipe. Staff very friendly and poncho made from fresh. Charged 2€ for a small glass. Half glass available for 1€. Chico Balls sold for 7€. They taste similar to Rafaello,...More
Good food, some of the best fish we've had on Madeira. Service friendly and efficient. Nice decor. A little chilly in February brrrr. If you are walking near Prazeres, include Restaurant Chico in your plans.
Service was good and the wine suggestion excellent. We enjoyed the meal. We both had traditional Portugeese food: My husband had oxtail stew and I opted for the fish stew. We will be around for another 3 weeks and will be back for sure.
Called in on an organised trip. This restaurant is off the tourist track but it is definitely worth visiting if you get the chance. We also had a demonstration of how to make Poncho.
We really enjoyed our meal here. Good service as well. Everything is home made. The home made piripiri source is lovely!
