You feel welcome the minute you walk through the door. This time of year it has a nice fire for a real homely feel. I had a really nice coffee and ploughmans. I also opted for the carrot cake and I must say the best by miles. Nice staff and very well presented eatery. I will have no problem in... More

Great place to have a snack or light meal when visiting the pottery or just passing by. Sandwiches and soups are great

You always get a warm welcome when you visit this place. In the summer the setting is wonderful, in the winter there is always a fire lit! The coffee here is great, cakes are homemade and we find the value better than some of the other places across the Algarve. We have had lunch here and will definitely go back

The setting here is lovely. Coffee, drinks and cakes are also nice. The food is good, but I feel quite overpriced especially given the slow service- though the staff do try their best. Better value can be found elsewhere, but a lovely spot to stop for just a drink.

Located on the premises of Porches Pottery this is truly a hidden gem. It offers a lovely lunch menu and the quiche, soups, and sandwiches were amazing. The presentation is fine dining and, if you eat outside, you can enjoy the serenity of gardened alcoves decorated with ceramic murals. The operators are friendly, efficient, and speak excellent English. If you... More

Find my directions on the review for Porches Pottery itself. This is the en-site Cafe/Restaurant. We stopped for Ices Coffees €2.10 and Carrot Cake €2.95 which you can eat outside at Tile Covered Tables. Small, but clean and a few more comprehensive items sold at lunchtime. Open Monday to Friday all day and Saturday morning. Stop for a snack during... More

Bar Bacchus has for years been a place we stop off at when visiting beaches in the area. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was underwhelming. We found it expensive given what we ordered - a prawn and avocado wrap, which was very small and very basic, and a chicken caesar salad, which was effectively 6 or so lettuce leaves, 6... More

A very nice, homely place. It's family run, and a great place to stop for lunch when traveling. The food is homemade and very fresh, warm people. Very charming, we loved it!

Bar Bacchus and the Pottery is a delightful location to visit and have a light lunch. The menu comprises of homemade quiches, freshly made sandwiches salads and ploughmans, not forgetting the delicious homemade cakes. It is not surprising sometimes it gets busy considering the location and food quality on offer and perhaps some people need to be a little patient... More
