We had dinner here and appetizers, first course, second course everything was delicious. We love black truffles and this place has the best tagliolini. The service was kind and family style. The bill another good surprise. Would definitely recommend:)

We were in San Casciano for four days and visited this restaurant three times as it was so good. We wanted to come back more because there were about 15 more things we wanted to try on the menu, but alas, time didn't allow us. Giuseppe was a superb, warm, experienced and interesting host - he put up with our... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel where we were staying down the road (Villa Il Fedino - check it out, it's marvellous). We arrived for a late-ish Sunday afternoon lunch and the place was packed with diners having a great time. We did not know what to expect and were blown away by the quality of the food... More

Yes, this is the real Italian food. Not over-engineered but just tasty. Everything. The cold cut, the past, the salad, the panna cotta. The restaurant looks and is the Italian village place where local people have lunch or dinner. I always enjoy it here.

We stopped and had lunch here today. I don't understand the $$$ rating as this restaurant is your typical inexpensive truly Tuscan spot. We had the sformatino di porri (leek flan) for appetizer, the truffle pasta, roasted rabbit with a bottle of the house wine, water and two coffees for 45euros. They graciously provided limoncello after we paid our bill.... More

A little disappointed.... place crowded wine and food nothing special for the cost. My steak was lacking flavour.

We stopped in for a light lunch of cured meats, cheeses and bread. The selection of artisanal meats is impressive, and the portions are huge for the price. Wonderful wine list as well. Friendly service, and they make great suggestions if you are unsure of what to try.

Seven of us on our Venice to Barcelona cruise hired a wonderful guide to drive us from the cruise ship port in Livorno to the Tuscan Hills. Our guide, Guido, lives in San Casciano, and it was there that he took us to his favorite restaurant, Cantinetta del Nonno, for lunch. antipasti, paste and dessert (and lots of good tuscan... More

When we asked our guide for real Tuscan cuisine she suggested this place in the small town of San Casciano. the food was original and delicious. The ravioli was just perfect with sweet tomatoes.

Home cooking makes this restaurant the place to eat. You feel like a friend of the family. The atmosphere and food is authentic Italian. Just what you need at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. We ate there more than once.
