We really loved the Sicilian meal we had in the Piazza. Very simple dishes like Pasta con sugo, grilled fish with sea salt and lemon. The fresh tomato and onion salad was beautiful. The Sicilian wine is a must to compliment the food. Dinner in...Italy is generally served late, 9pm is standard, we ate after 10pm. Something I wouldn’t do in Melbourne but was good to do something different.More

So We arrived there (2 of us) at 6 pm and wanted to have dinner. The square was full of old guys chatting outside and children playing: it was not time for dinner! The owner was a bit embarrassed, that the kitchen was not yet...open, but he suggested that he could prepare a few things for us. It was a great feast: a generous board full of different kinds of local cheeses, lard and panceta, dried tomatoes: it was delicious. We then had a mixed grill with French fries and that was very tasty too. I really appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the staff there. It was great to have dinner there, right on that beautiful large central piazza of Grammichele, without any automobile traffic, with children playing in Italian, the chimes of the Church bells. It was great!More

We were suggested this quaint restaurant by numerous locals. We tried it as suggested. We ordered day speciality pasta and we waited about 70 minutes for it to arrive. It was quite a long while and we were really hungry... upon tasting the meal then...we forgot totally about the long wait. It was the best sugo nero (although not very hot) i have ever tasted. Staff apologised before we left. So all in all i wish i can return for that sugo nero!!!More

After reading some trip advisor and other sites we opted for Piaciri, and we were so happy we did. The restaurant is very cosy, has fantastic music, great wines to choose from and a small menu (if you don't want to go for pizza's because...they have many to choose from). Of course it was february - the quiet season - so therefore the menu wasn't extensive, and even though we are difficult eaters (no carbs, no sugar, and no meat) they changed their dishes so that they would suite our diet, and it was absolutely delicious! We had antipasti and the different dishes and tastes kept coming. Home made, slow cooked, delicious, the best fresh produce and super tasty. It's a shame we don't live closer... we'd come very often! Only open for 11 months now, we hope they will succeed and become a succes story!More
