No pretence, excellent food, superb food and service, welcoming, fine wines, all at a reasonable price with no hidden extras. Six of us dined early - a good idea to avoid the queues - and were able to eat as leisurely as we wished. An all round great evening!

Hidden away from the beachfront, in a stylish lane way, is the No 1 ranked restaurant. Rated 1 for good reason. Great menu, multilingual staff, excellent wine list . Ticks all the boxes and delivers a very pleasant experience. Great food, wine staff and lovely cool hideaway.

Came here on our last night of 5 in Otranto, and I recommend highly. Complimentary amuse bouche and prosecco was a nice start, very good seafood spaghetti and the owner recommended a local rose wine (Murex) which was superb.

We're here in Otranto, tried 6 of the top 10 listed here and for now this one realy stood out of the rest. I truly recommend going there. They are a bit shy on the meat side but you'll still get a great steak. The seafood is just out of this world. Like i've said I truly recommend going there.... More

Superb food smaller menu than most but that's because it's freshly cooked. Best meal we had in 3 nights - the other two places were ok but this in a different league on food quality. Typical vaulted chambers inside, friendly and knowledgable staff, good selection of local wines, no hesitation in recommending. Important to note that you are not rushed... More

Expecting something really special was a bit disappointed. No room on terrace so sat inside with very feeble air con- and kitchen next door so very uncomfortably hot in the evening. Welcome drink, bread And signature antipasto was nice but everything took along time to come as noticed they cook in batches according to orders and not who you are... More

Peccato di Vino is a hidden plkace in Otranto that serves good food made out of exceptional ingredients. Very kind hosts will make everybody feel at ease and enjoy the long lunch or diner. My only tiny regret is: some of the courses could be even better by keeping it simple. Why do you need to roll sea-bass filets instead... More

Good service, good food but nothing spectacular. No child menu, and nothing offered to solve the problem (e.g pasta with tomato sauce).

Waited 3 hours to get a table as the restaurant does not take reservation. Vegetable appetizer was very nicely presented but was tasteless. The Seabream was good and the Monk Fish was fine. Service was excellent. Overall the food was just good, not excellent. Surely not worth the long wait

Very nice restaurant, good food, very good service. Portions are a little bit too abundant, so rather go for less, but prices are more than reasonable. The owner is very attentive - very nice evening.
