The restaurant is very expensive for that area and it strives to deliver for the money. You get impeccable service, nice, if a bit stuffy, ambiance and a great wine carte. Amuse bouche were great as well as appetizers. Main dishes... not so much, meaning good but not outstanding.

One of the best dinner I've ever had. Food was elaborated, tasty and full of different flavours. The location is very unique and comfortable. The chef was also very friendly!

It is a bit tricky to find, but persevere for this beautiful intimate, but not crowded restaurant in a stark elegant but rustic masseria just outside of Monopoli. The staff is superb. The five course all fish tasting menu was inventive, using local fresh ingredients. Meeting the charming and humble chef Sabatelli afterwards, on his way to a charity event... More

It was our first time back in Puglia in 10 years and things have certainly changed. Angelo and his team bring the very best that Puglia has to offer in a way that is both contemporary and delicious. I can recommend the classics menu with the wines selected for you, it's a real journey and if you enjoy cooking yourself... More

We have come back here one year after our wedding, to enjoy this place once again, and it has been wonderful as the first time. Everything was perfectly balanced: a beautiful experience, the food was innovative without being too complex and really really tasty (and abundant). The service was perfect: very competent, kind (and friendly) people. Every detail was perfect.... More

Went with an open mind as the food in this region is very different. Obviously lots of fish but a lot is served raw. The service was impeccable even though we arrived slightly before opening they were very accommodating. We went for the fish menu! The ingredients used were allowed to to have the taste they should. No over the... More

My wife and I went on a Tuesday evening, it was our last meal in Monopoli before heading out the following morning. We chose the 5 course seafood menu for 60 Euro instead of a la carte. The 5 courses were all off the charts, Sig. Angelo sent works of art which were variations of local dishes but done in... More

Excellent restaurant for quality of courses, cooked with high professionalism and research of flavors. Too bad that this alone is not enough to please the customers but also serves kindness, courtesy and above all understand that you can not make fun of the customers and then turn with brazenness is haughtiness as if nothing had happened. Is the second time... More

Dear Mrs Mario1BE, Mrs is correct, it’s not a mistake because Mario1BE is a lady. I don’t know why you wrote your review in English when you are and speak Italian. I guess you wanted international or planetary attention, isn’t it! Whoever reads your review understands that what you are stating isn’t true. In your last review dated 7 Dec... More

It was my second time at Spina (altogether with local friends from Puglia) and I was clearly not disappointed. We had the second menu at 90€ with about ten courses, which is really to die for! Everything is creatively cooked, sometimes cooked for many hours, and the association of flavors and tastes are just both bold and stunningly delicious. The... More
