Organic and memorable. Our group had many flavors and each raved but basil was teh most admired! Pistachio best ever, choc supreme, fruit is season were all great. Don't miss this place and check out current selection as well as old stand byes.

The flavours are fantastic, the Gelati incredible.....such friendly people, they sell crepes and waffles and of course the best ice cream in Puglia! ...it's a must to visit in the old town of Cisternino...a beautiful historical town....don't miss it! I have been searching for over sixty years to find the holy grail of ice cream and I have finally found it in a small town in Puglia Italy.I first heard of the Gelateria L'era Glaciale whilst I was on holiday in Berlin.I was sitting outside a cafe having an ice cream and I got talking to an Australian guy... Exceptionally good ice-cream in the heart of Cisternino. The dark chocolate is amongst the best I ever tasted, but the coconut, peach and fresh fig were also excellent. Decent value and friendly staff; well worth a visit after you've eaten elsewhere, either to eat in the shop or to take away as you wander around taking in the sights of... More

Amazing handmade ice cream with local ingredients, what more is there to say? We had fresh fig ice cream and my son had chocolate. It was the bomb.

Some of the best gelato I have tasted on all of our trips to Italy! We had the cioccolato extra fondente I believe or it may have been a chocolate praline, whatever it was, it was to die for and we did contemplate a return visit to Cisternino just for the icecream! Would HIGHLY recommend!

Great gelato shop. Very tasty and all made on the premises. The couple that run the place are very attentive and currents and allowed us to sample before we choose flavours.

We weren't disappointed, the fig, disaronno and coconut ice creams were fabulous. Very creamy and smooth. Good value, coppa with two big dollops €2.50. Friendly owner, pleased to see us. Recommended.
