If you are seeking a very traditional, up priced Bavarian restaurant, where allegedly Sissy stayed on vacation, this is the place for you. If you are seeking high class cooking, then go somewhere else. It is very close to the lake Starnberg, that's a plus. And you will need a car to comfortably get there.

The traditional Bavarian food in the Stüberl is outstanding and the historic interior with Sissi being present everywhere is just lovely. You will love it!

for more than 100 years this Hotel was a hiding place for the educated and the rich from the nearby city of Munich. The restaurant is still high standard, the customers are middle class and educated.

Nineteenth century luxury resort across from local golf course which was to have been site of (never built) Feldafing Palace (Maximilian died soon after construction started and his successor, Ludwig, had different palatial tastes - to travelers lasting gratitude!). Sit on the verandah and enjoy afternoon coffee and cake (even if selection limited).
