We have visited this Bistro on many occasions and always have a lovely meal. The food is great value and always very tasty with good choices on the set menus. The lunchtime menu is especially good value. Great service and a beautiful setting. Highly recommended.

My wife and I tried this bistro on the spur of the moment. What a find it turned out to be. We had the best lunch of our two week stay in France and all for 11 euros. All three courses were beautifully prepared and the service excellent. The apple crumble, a favourite of mine in the UK, was memorable.... More

We stopped for a late lunch on a peaceful and sunny afternoon. Sitting outside it was quite a heavenly spot to spend an hour or so. We both had salads - mine with a mixture of hot and cold goats cheese, my wife's with chicken and avocado. Both were well composed and tasty. We decided on our puddings without needing... More

We stayed in Domfront and went to this restaurant on two occasions. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the food excellent. Try the pave fish which was very good and the tartine dishes which are a speciality. The prices are also reasonable. The restaurant is nicely positioned in the main square and attracts both locals and tourists. Well... More

The owners are lovely, the setting is beautiful and we had a lovely pichet of wine overlooking the stunning setting of Domfront. Great place to sit! Food looked great, variety of salads and galettes etc but we were out of hours for a meal, must get used to it! Restaurant hours are 12 - 14.00 and 19 - 21.00. Open... More

Run by a committed couple. Good food throughout the day. The evening menu has a 3 course option that is really good value Good range of wines.

We've now been here several times when staying with friends in the area. We chose the €21 menu. It was a Saturday evening at the beginning and July and the place was buzzing. As usual the young lady, I presume the owner, on her own, very efficiently greeting people, serving the drinks and the food. We didn't have to wait,... More

Read other reviews, so gave it a try. Lunchtime 11 ish euros a Menu du Jour. Very basic, little choice and not very well cooked. The starter was mostly lettuce with tartlet containing cream sauce and some form of meat, served in a silly square dish, others I noticed turned it out onto their side plate. Main was a chunk/slab... This is a traditional little bistro with no airs and graces. At lunchtime the set menu had little choice-gizzard salad followed by a beef stew. The is a lot more choice at weekends and the evening but I did struggle although what I did eat was good. The waitress let me order off menu with a little mozzarella salad as... More
