I read your comments. After your visit, the plates were empty. You thanked the waiter who recommended these dishes to you and left a tip. Therefore, I am surprised at the assessment you set to “2”. About that something is too salty, you did not...More

According to restaurant name I expected more authentic slavanian dishes like swans from Russian folk tales (joke) but main suggestion was shish-kebab!? Finally, I compromised to quail (instead swan). Beer and salad were very good.

Good food, authentic and rich menu not for vegetarians. The service was a bit slow. But spoke English. Tables outside are a bit wonky so if you got small children better go inside. Prices were descent.

A medieval Down of Loket is not registered in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list by accident. In the past Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad in German) belonged administratively to this town. The famous Czech king Charles IV, who, according to a legend, took place in hunting a deer and found mineral springs, came there from the Castleof Loket (Elbogen in German). The house where the restaurant of ,,Staroslovanská Kuchyně" is situated is one of the oldest houses in the town.
